Resumen del Editor

Bury your enemies, and bury them deep.

John Milton thought he was done with Avi Bachman. The most dangerous man he's ever known has been incarcerated in Angola, the brutal Louisiana prison. Inmates rarely leave Angola. Once you go in, the only way out is in a box. But Bachman is no ordinary prisoner. He was an assassin for the Mossad, and he has favours to call in.

Milton is in the Australian outback with an old friend and his flirtatious kid sister, looking for a summer’s peace to put his troubled mind to rest. But Bachman has other plans. He thinks that Milton killed his wife, and now he wants revenge.

From Australia to Israel, from Hong Kong to Croatia, here is the conclusion of this brutal chapter in Milton’s life. The two headhunters are on a collision course, and only one of them will walk away. Don’t start this audiobook in bed - you will lose sleep.

Mark Dawson has worked as a lawyer and currently works in the London film industry. His first books, The Art of Falling Apart and Subpoena Colada have been published in multiple languages. He is currently writing three series.

The John Milton series features a disgruntled assassin who aims to help people make amends for the things he has done.

The Beatrix Rose series features the headlong fight for justice of a wronged mother - who happens to be an assassin - against the six names on her kill list.

Soho Noir is set in the West End of London between 1940 and 1970. The first book in the series, The Black Mile, deals with the (real-life but little-known) serial killer who operated in the area during the Blitz. The Imposter traces the journey of a criminal family through the period; it has been compared to The Sopranos in austerity London.

Still terrific

Well I keep on thinking they have to become trite and expectable. No it hasn't happened yet. John is really a MAN to cherish. Starting the Ninth Step today. Can't wait.

I love this series!

Really great storyline and interesting characters. Loads of action and international travel. I like to listen before I fall asleep at night, but this series is so action-packed, it keeps me awake well into the wee hours. I did notice that John Milton is repeatedly attracted to stubborn, pain in the butt women. Matilda was no exception and I wanted to strangle her in the end. Narration was good, but some accents still sound like they are from the Bronx. Overall, I still really, really enjoy John Milton and friends.

My current favorite series.

Love this series and the other books by Mark Dawson I've read. It's important to read the books in order (or listen, I alternate reading and listening). Milton reminds me a lot of Jack Reacher, except he has more going on in his head and the locales are more interesting.

Keep Running

Good read, but not the best. Not much to the story, but keeps you intrigued to the end.

Another great Milton installment.

Once again Mark Dawson holds your attention with a riveting John Milton story. He weaves together a nice cast of characters with the return of Ziggy and Bachman. Great book all around. it will definitely bit disappoint.

Milton and Avi Bachmann...Awesome!

I'd recommend this book to the die hard wonderful fans of the John Milton series. What I especially liked in this book was Avi Bachmann. He is quite the character that should have perhaps had his own series (hint, hint, wink, wink, Mark Dawson & David Thorpe)...just saying. It's nice that Milton gets to travel to different countries and engage in mayhem: it keeps things fresh and interesting, plus exciting. If you are on the fence, don't overthink it...go out and purchase this magnificent book. But make sure you have read the previous 6 books first, because it's one massive storyline.

Fun Listen but Story is a Bit Contrived

I enjoyed listening to it. The key events are interesting particularly with the Israeli intelligence agency. The ending comes together but I tended to want it to play out another way. I like David Thorpe; modern experienced narrators are pretty amazing.

They never listen

Dawson follows the template for a story. Bad guy gets girl. Good guy rescues girl. Good guy goes after bad guy. Girl wants to help. Good guy tells girl to stay out of the way. Girl doesn't listen. Girl creates more problems than help. Girl needs rescuing again....get it.
