Great Macha lead female character. I just love strong heroines. Can't wait for the next one!

Grifter meets lady-Bourne in heels

Bianca is a kick-ass anti-hero who goes from pulling cons to fleeing from several “Them” style, black ops groups with unknown motives, but very lethal agendas. This started off with a sexy heist gone wrong, turned into a lady-Jason Bourne origin mystery thriller, gave a bonus Mr. and Mrs. Smith romance vibe, and yes, ends up with a set-up for a larger story arc pitting Bianca against Them.

Despite the cliffhanger ending, this was such an outstanding book that I found it full credit worthy. Besides, books 2 and 3 are out, so you can blow straight through the trilogy.

The beginning and ending were great. The story line in the middle was a bit slow and convoluted

Listened to another of Karen Robards' books and I must say I had hoped for better than what I got with this one.

What does Julia Whelan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Narration was well done.
