Great Book

I can’t stress how much I loved this book the story started off with a mystery and just continued to build. Logan’s love for Amelia was swoon worthy. Claire Contreras was a new author for me I had never read or listened to any of her books prior to this one but now I am definitely a fan. Great narrations from both narrators they really kept me engaged with the story.

Claire’s story of mystery, suspense, and love gets 5 stars from me. I loved her detailed story of a mysterious society and how it unfolds in the life of the main character Amelia. I loved the characters Claire wrote about that, helped unfold the truth and mystery of this well written story. I was invested from the beginning to the end. Great job Claire. This is a standalone but there will be more stories from this series. Also, there is a bonus scene only on the kindle version.

Holy plot twist Batman!

Loved this book! Reminded me a lot of Ninth House, which I read first, but without the magic! Such an interesting story!

Gripping, thrilling, and my new obsession!

I can't stop with this book. Literally. I've lost count of the number of times I've listened to and read this book (since I have both the audio and ebook versions). Obsessed with this story! I just can't seem to move on from this addictive new series.

The twisted suspense and web of lies of these secret societies kept me riveted. Wanting to see where Amelia and Logan would go kept me locked in anxiousness and hopefulness.

I loved the characters, both main and supporting. I loved Amelia's smart mouth and wit while I loved Logan's devotion and determination. I'm hoping for many more books in this series for the other characters because I am OBSESSED!

I thought the narrators did a fabulous job, especially the female narrator. There was more from her than from the male narrator, but I thought she was spot-on as far as how I imagined Amelia sounding. The inflections and emotions were so well-done. Obviously, since I've listened to the book numerous times already.

I can't recommend this book enough! You are missing out if you haven't purchased this book and dove into this perverse and whacked world of secret societies.

I loved the story! Light on the romance but I'll definitely be reading more. Secrets, lies, betrayal. Good stuff!

I loved the h and her relationship with her brother. The loss of a star is Logan. He took a bit to warm up to and I really questioned his desire to be with Amelia, especially early on. Not a fan of his actions being one way but his words being another.

Dark and Mysterious

It will consume you.
You will have so many questions...

Who are the cloaks? What’s with Amelia’s family? Who are her friends? ....and what happened to them?

It’s unputdownable... (is that a word??)

Good Story too much vulgarity

AllI can say is this is a great story but I was ready to turn it off every 10 minutes or so because of the vulgar language and then the story would catch my interest again. I sure wish you could write these intriguing books without having all the garbage words in them.

Half truth - best title!

I’m so in love with this book, the twists and turns, are very interesting- this series will be good.!
