Acerca de esta escucha

Once upon a time, a girl found a magical puppy, and her life was never the same again.

Nina Popoca needs help.

So, so much of it.

The only place she can find that help is on a sprawling ranch in Colorado. A place hiding more than a community filled with magical creatures trying to live their lives in safety and in peace. A village that might hold the answers to questions she’s had her entire life.

And if that ranch is owned by her best friend’s hunky cousin?

There are worse things in the world than having to live right by Henri Blackrock.

This book was different, a little PNR love story. (ParaNormal Romance). It was fun, character driven, and still the slow burn we love! She never misses!!

ahhh Mariana!! Always fabulous!

When I first heard the premise of this book, I didn’t think I would like it as much as all the other’s. However Mariana Zapata is a true craftswoman when it comes to story-telling! With my ADHD, I haven’t been able to sit still long enough to read an article let alone this monster of a book. I read this book in record time and purposely stopped at about 93% because I didn’t want to it to end. I decided to wait until the audio book came out and it did NOT disappoint. I loved the narrators, especially the FMC. So worth the wait!! ❤️

Mariana does it again! Great story, Great narrators. You know the book is good when you are smiling like a looney while you're driving, or laughing or crying out of, apparently, nothing because your hair hides the headphones. This one is one that I'll keep re listening, for sure.

Absolutely loved it!

I knew the story would be good, just because Mariana Zapata is the author. But these 2 narrators elevated the story even more fully. Thanks for choosing a narrator who has a native (probably) Spanish accent. Both did a great job.

Great narrators

The first 30 minutes had me questioning my choice but Oh my, what a beautiful story. The variety of characters that grow and develop through encouragement and love. This is one of my favorites by this author. The narrators are amazing It’s so nice to have a story with very little cursing and tasteful romantic sex scenes.
Zappata is always a n automatic choice for me.

This was a brilliant story. I had read a couple of neg reviews just as this came out and was a bit worried, but this was as good as Zapata’s previous best works, Luna, Winnipeg, and Rhodes. Seriously. If you like Zapata’s books, and you are open to a magical world, you’ll love this. I wish all the other romance authors in the world would read Zapata, and then write more books with engaging, fleshed out stories and slow burns like she does.
The female narrator was EXCELLENT. The male narrator voiced the MMC very well, but let the book down by not using alternate voices for secondary characters. I think he tried to use a different inflection for Franklin, but it wasn’t consistent. I really noticed the lack of differentiation for Duncan and Matty (Maddy?) though, and this took me out of the story a few times. I don’t understand why the producer wouldn’t have taken a minute to workshop the voice for Duncan, when he’s such an important, but unusual, character. The book deserved a bit more attention to detail. Luckily because the narrator did the MMC so well, he didn’t bring the story down too much.
Highly recommended. Thank you!

Soooooo Good!

I never commented on the narrator's before but I thoroughly enjoyed this narration. Especially Victoria's narration. That made the character more real. Great job!

Narrators did good!

Even though this is a book with magical creatures and gods, it’s such a human story! So much heart and beauty! Im sitting here with joyful tears as i write this review, something that i rarely do. The story is beautiful, the narration was wonderful. Cannot recommend this book more highly. Don’t hesitate to, spend a credit, it’s definitely worth it!!
