Outstanding Narration

If you could sum up Fool's Errand in three words, what would they be?

This is an excellent continuation of the Farseer story.The narration of this book is actually a bit better than the original. I prefer Langdon's voice selection for both the Fool and Nighteyes.

Any additional comments?

The constant mispronunciation of Kettrichen and Burrich's names is really irritating. The producer, director, narrator or somebody should put a little effort into continuity when working on a series.

Slow start, but...

This was my first book by Robin Hobb. I️ found it off to a slow start and wasn’t sure if I️ would finish it. But, as the story progressed, I️ could not put it down (or more correctly turn it off). Now I’m ready to down load book two in the trilogy. Excellent story and performance!

I can't get enough of Robin Hobb's characters!!!

A little different and that is one of the reasons I loved the series! Her writing is so believable. I look forward, with anticipation, to every new book she writes. I've read or listened to most several times and still can't get enough.
If anyone is interested maybe I'll start a RHA (Robin Hobb Anonymous) recovery group...

There a moment in these books that shows the potential of audiobooks as a medium

When this audiobook was commissioned it's very clear that Robin Hobb was more successful author who could command stronger narrator for her second trilogy. However despite the narrator being better, all the voices I'd come to love we're gone. even the familiar characters were 15 years older now they had the voices of men. I felt just as detached from this world that I knew and love as as the main characters does, we both knew that it was better but it didn't feel like ours. And then we hear a voice, a voice we expected to never hear again either due to change or estrangement, and I felt the same elation that fitz does not moment and I cried. Finally feeling something familiar just as our character finally felt something familiar was brilliant.

why the change

Why did you change the narrator from the last trilogy? it made the book less effective for me. I felt I had to relearn some characters as the narrator called characters by different names thru his odd pronunciations.

My favorite of the Realm of the Elderlings so far

I loved this. It was action packed and broke my heart. I cannot wait to listen to the next installment.

Love the whole farseer series of books. What a wonderful world Hobb has created! Inspiring and full of real life insight. Storytelling at its best.

The story is great but the writing is fantastic. Robin Hobb knows the craft. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Such a good book. Was so relieved.

After struggling through the narration on the Liveship Traders books l was so relieved that this book was narrated so much better. looking forward to continuing the series.
