Overall great listen. Narrators did outstanding.
I like that the FMC got stronger as the book went on. She was always so quick to forgive. Even when she made him grovel…he still made the decision to bend ger over the desk after the meeting and take her…and she let him!! um girl??? What? You held out that long to just let him do that!? No! lol. I wish the author would have let the reconnect be on her terms. That’s why it wasn’t a 5 star for me.
I really enjoyed their connection after the baby scare. I am looking forward to book 2.

FMC was over the top

FMC was childish one minute and strong the next It made the story hard to listen too. The MMC for being Bratva his whole life was easily swayed. I love the author but I don't think I can listen the the 2nd book in the series bc of the odd FMC

Worth the credit...

This was a great listen, it gave some of everything hot n steamy, action, drama etc. The narrators did a great job just some chapters the male narrator was a bit low whisper like. Love Rowan's character even though she was a bit annoying sometimes being so damn nieve to who Vince is. Overall definitely worth a credit and I'm looking forward to listening to part 2.

First I have to give a shout out to the narrators bc they absolutely make the book worth listening to!!! The male narrator IS the MMC!! The storyline is fantastic, and the writing is excellent too. I can’t say enough about this one. Nicole Fox books can be hit out or miss but this one is a definite HIT and a MUST LISTEN! It’s part one of a duet, as are all of her books, so don’t be surprised - and you definitely need to listen to both parts (of course!) I can totally recommend this duet!! I absolutely loved the characters and the story too!w

repetitive monologue

it was an interesting story but it dragged on for an event. then to add ironic connections to the heroine?

Needs a good editor

This is not the best NFox book. The female narrator spends way too much time screeching her dialogue. The male narrator was good.

Bummed

I cannot stress enough how important it is to have a good narrator for an audio book. It could be the most amazing book however the way it’s read will either catapult it upwards or sink it into a hole. This book unfortunately is in the hole. She starts out very well using just enough emotion expressing the difference between characters and circumstances until the drama kicks in and it never stops. Over and over, on and on its non stop panic, anxiety and desperation screeching like a trapped cat from her face hole. I continued listening because I was genuinely interested in their story and tried to hang in waiting for his turn to read just to give my ears a break but it wasn’t enough. He read for only a few moments and right as I was back into it here she comes the nails on a chalkboard. So in closing, if you can handle or ignore that level of irritation then you may like this one. It’s a slow burn but held my interest.
