An Even Better Surprise!

Having read the first book in this series, I thought it would be easier to predict as things kept going forward, but I must confess myself truly surprised by the narrative Twists in the mystery if this book. An absolute joy to read, I highly recommend.

fun and different

Yahtzee Croshaw isn't just a good writer he's a fantastic narrator. I hope he considers reading for other writers.

Everything I wanted the sequel to be!

This book is a sequel to Differently Morphous(released in 2019) and I highly recommend that you read it before you start with this one! It’s one of my favourite audiobook, it’s just a terrific read.

This is a very well written book with some really funny characters and dialog.
We see a lot of returning characters and their witty dialogue permeates through the whole book. Give it a listen for sure!

cheeky, funny, tense, fascinating

Once again, Yahtzee does not disappoint. Very cool and enjoyable! The sequel is still satirical, with believable characters in a bizarre world only slightly different from our own, with real tension woven throughout.

I listened to the first book just a couple days back and had to mainline the second book as soon as possible.

Sadly, now I have to wait for the 3rd book

And sarcasm with silly. The author is a true wordsmith. In the vein of Terry Pratchett bringing the whole thing up to date.

So nice I read them twice

I read/listened to the first back when it first came out and thought it was the best of Yahtzee's books. When this one arrived I finished it within a day, then went back to the original to give it another listen. Both contain mystery elements, so it's fun to go back and catch the hints you missed the first time around. Only slight knock against it is there's a bit less Dr. Diablerie this time around, though I suspect that will change when and if there's a Book 3.

Good stuff, give it a listen.
