Harkening back to a time when law enforcement was a local face in the community, Morgan is forced to step up and be that face, much to his chagrin. With the help of Thad, Danny, and the rest of the crew, he accepts the challenge and tries to make a positive impact. But he's in for yet another surprise. New foes will arise, and old ones will return to conspire to destroy his efforts.

Morgan's group will suffer loss, injury, and constant assault. His new position has made him a target as well as those he loves. The peace and tranquility that the group has fought so hard for will continue to elude them. The fight, as Morgan soon learns, is just beginning.

ALL of the books in this series are enjoyable. In this one, the women do seem to be taking on a less whiny tone, not completely there yet but much better than previous books. You really get attached to characters and feel like you know them. Sometimes the high school locker room antics of the male characters gets tiresome, but then again, they are guys...so.....yeah. All in all, this series is really enjoyable. Highly recommended, but definitely start at the beginning. Avenging Home had better be on Audible soon....can't wait to see what happens next!

He wrote this book, mostly like the others. The other books was much like this. This book however was different somehow. Its like in this book, everything is repeated twice or trice. The repetition in this book was worded slightly different the second time around. I would like to add that the adding and offerings in conversations is just as frequent as in the other book. The details are less, but that is a positive i want to offer in this review. I find it funny to listen to patriots writing about freedom and post apocalype. I often wonder if they see the similarity between ideologies. This guy is an anarcist, tho i doubt A. Americab thinks himself as one.

More action and more events. Last books was slow and I read mixed reviews on this one. Glad I got it.

What about Duke Fontaine’s performance did you like?

He makes the book. I can listen in the back ground and know who is talking because every has their own voice.

Pick up the pace Chris, took what 4 months for Duke to get this one out? Great story and it could happen.

Awesome series

Awesome series,possibly the most realistic "end of the world as we know it " series out there. You'll laugh,you'll tear up(what ?I'm not cryin',I just have allergies) ,you'll want to administer some vengeance.

Outstanding story crafting!

The author of this story poses a deep understand of society and the social breakdown that would be inevitable with the loss of power and basic communications.
The detail that A.A. puts into these books puts the realism within easy mental reach.

Enjoyable story like able characters

The story continues on. The scenarios play out similar to how you would expect an apocalyptic event to play out. Always questioning would I have thought of that. I keep wanting to hear what will happen next and how will they get through.

great continuation of the series!

followed like peanut butter into jelly on a hot slice of freshly baked toast. Everything was just right to bring you back into the meat of the story, while flowing like gravy into the new course for the devourer. 10/10

I love this series. some people complain about the overly descriptive writing or the product placement, but none of that gets in the way of the story for me. on to the next book! such a great series.

I have been a fan of A. American since the beginning and each book has not let me down! Great author! Great story! Great Audiobook!

They just keep getting better

Only problem is having to wait for the next one. U must start with the first book in the series since the author picks the story right up from the last one with no 'recap'.
