This is a sweet and clean, low angst Pride and Prejudice variation where all of the Bennet sisters have happy endings.

Different twists but still a feel good story

Very entertaining. There is no rude comments by Darcy at the assembly. The Bennet family is much the same except they’re more caring and less flaunting of society’s norms. Which would make you think the story might be dull. But it is definitely not. I listened constantly wanting to know what happened next. Lots of twists but overall a feel good listen. I also really enjoyed the many epilogues. Instead of a recitation of the future it is a series of meetings or letters between different characters. Stevie Zimmerman’s narration is flawless as usual.

Great story

Good plot and characters.
I like that Wickham was redeemed and there was no stress between Darcy and Elizabeth.

Ms. Kendig Crafts an Exciting Tale

I have read many of Ms. Kendig’s stories, and I am privileged to own a few of her ebooks. This one was well-crafted and was quite an exciting read. As for Stevie Zimmerman’s vocal performance, she is a true artist. Thank you for an enthralling experience.

Another great one

I enjoy all of Ms. Kendig’s books. She is capable of having several scenes going at once, yet writes in a way that it doesn’t get confusing or boring. The plot is original. I was reluctant to believe Wickham could be a good guy, but I believe in redemption, and thought it was done well. The other characters were also done well. Stevie Zimmerman, as always, did a fantastic job with her narration. I highly recommend this book.

Totally New Take on my favorite classic

I enjoyed the transformation of key characters like Mary, Wickham, and of course Elizabeth. Venturing into Northumbria and Scotland was a nice surprise, but the creation of completely new characters makes this, in my opinion, Kendig’s breakout book. This is a great read for any Regency era fan.

And they all lived happily ever after.

Spoiler alert: even Wickham finds a new path! This is a very low angst and wonderful variation! I highly recommend it to Pride and Prejudice fans.

Fantastic new take on the Elizabeth is not a Bennet trope! Would recommend to anyone who likes AU stories.

Great book

This was another interesting take on pride and prejudice. A mystery. A drama. Some little angst. Well written and a great read. Great Jaff.

Quite good

Spoilers ahead...
I really enjoy a story where Wickham redeems himself; this is one of those. I thought it an interesting idea title of book after a trope, but it works very well. Elizabeth is still the Elizabeth we know and love, but she has flaming red hair and some money. It was a pleasant story, though the epilogue was three chapters long. I enjoy Mr. & Mrs. Bennet being so loving. Coming to know a brother was also a nice touch. Her stepmother is a real piece of work.

Elizabeth as a redhead!

Elizabeth is a ward but "adopted" into the loving Bennet family. Darcy quickly falls for the redheaded Elizabeth at the assembly and comes to realize that he is falling in love with her. Elizabeth's hidden past is coming to the front as someone does not want her to inherit her birthright. We do have a reformed Wickham This story is more medium than high angst. I do like that Darcy & Elizabeth get together earlier in the story so we can enjoy more of their life together. The narration by Stevie Zimmerman brings up the story another notch.
