As a surgical intern, my life is a relentless cycle of work and more work.

If I lose focus, even for one second, my career could be on the line.

So when my living situation unexpectedly changes, the last thing I need is the distraction of house hunting.

Which is why I don't hesitate to say yes when my best friend and esteemed surgeon, Dr. Parker Winters, comes to my rescue with an offer I can't refuse: a room in his luxurious penthouse, free of charge.

The only condition? Keep an eye on his little sister.

It sounds straightforward until I discover my new roommate is none other than the woman who's been haunting my thoughts since I first met her. The one who never called me back and is now utterly off-limits.

In the fiercely competitive field of orthopedics, I've learned to fight for what I want. But what if what I want most is the one thing I should avoid at all costs–my best friend’s sister...

I thought I couldn’t love this book and the series anymore, and then I experienced it in audio and omg I’m done for!

Andi Eloise and Joe Arden are seriously so incredible together and not a narration duo I would have ever thought of, but I love their voices together!

Paging Dr. Beau

I’m new to the author and honestly this is not my type of novel so take my review with a grain of salt. I enjoyed the story but it was drawn out so much that it made it really difficult to listen to it on one go. Joe Arden was my main motivation to be honest.

Lexie does it again!! Sucked me in instantly and then left me wanting more! I loved being able to continue to see characters from the previous book very involved in this continuation of the stand alone series. The medical jargon and knowledge have been done right and research was on point! I loved these two characters so much and having Andi and Joe perform them brought it to a whole new height. If you love medical stories, secret lovers, forbidden lovers and banter this is the book for you! Every time Lexie ends a story I’m left shocked that it was the last chapter, I am always left wanting more in the best way!

Medical romance done right!

I ATE this book UP!!! I loved seeing the "behind the scenes" scenes! I always wanted to see a scene in the on call room and boy did Lexie deliver! (PUN INTENDED) The narrators did a truly amazing job, and it wouldn't have been the same without their voices making this story come to life!

Grey's Vibes + Hot Doc = HUGE HEART EYES

I was so excited for this book couldnt wait to hear Andi and Joe take on Claire and Beau and boy this was outstanding. The duet narration was phenomenal. I have to say Andi Eloise this is her top performance I have listened to she was out of this world in this one. The love and relationship development in the story was beautiful and it was spicy in some areas but not many and that did not deter how amazing this story was. Run to get this title you wont be disappointed.

Absolutely a must read

Three words - BAD BOY BEAU. Sheesshhhh I love him so much and hearing this in audio was so good! Claire is so unapologetically herself and it really made me love her in this book, especially seeing her growth as she works through the grief of losing her mom. Beau is so kind and patient and those sweet notes - omg I was swooning! And the spice - that NYE scene HOLY SMOKES.

Performed in duet by Andi Eloise & Joe Arden- they both did a phenomenal job at giving us Claire & Beau’s story! I could not stop listening and am so happy that Midtown Memorial is finally in our ears!

Another fantastic medical romance in this series!!! I loved how this book had everything from sweetness and sizzling hot lessons to diabetes representation and relatable characters but also emotion and depth! Beau and Claire’s romance starts as a one night stand where they don’t know each other but it turns into such a beautifully developed romance that will have you laughing, tearing up, heart melting and also cooling yourself off. Absolutely adored Beau & Claire!!!!!

This is book 2 of the Midtown Memorial series and while it can easily be understood as a standalone, I highly recommend book one too! Claire is the sister of Parker from book one and Beau is Parker’s best friend. Parker and his fiancee, Cassidy get mentioned quite a bit so it just makes the story a whole new fun experience knowing who they are!

AUDIO REVIEW:
Andi Eloise and Joe Arden perform this audio in a duet narration and did a fantastic job bringing Beau & Claire to life. Andi’s lively tone perfectly brought out Claire’s sass and energy! She also has so much expression in her voice and does a remarkable job making you feel the grief and emotions Claire is dealing with. Joe uses a southern accent throughout the story while also capturing Beau’s charm. It was an engaging listen that brought out both the heat and depth of this story!

An incredible brother's best friend medical romance that has heart, emotion and so much heat!!!

I knew I’d fall head over heels in love with Beau in Dr. Resident, and I wasn’t disappointed. The way he commands an OR and a bedroom… I’m here for it. And listen… I loved this book when I read it. But LISTENING?! Seriously felt like I got to read it for the first time. And what a pleasure that was. Andi Eloise and Joe Arden are two phenomenal performers. Put them together in duet for a medical romance by an author I am obsessed with?! Hands down the best audio I’ve heard all month. BNA knew what I needed this week, and it was this audiobook. Claire and Beau are so deliciously fun and quirky. I love the little things that Beau does to make her smile, and I LOVE how they banter and flirt. They’re so perfect for each other, I can’t even handle it. I don’t have words for how much this audio made an already amazing story even better. LOVE Big Balls Beau!

Returning to Midtown Memorial for Beau and Claire’s story was such a happy reunion to this setting and characters. Beau caught my attention in book one, and I love the premise of brother’s best friend meets forced proximity. Beau is an intern at Midtown Memorial and Claire is his attending doctor’s younger sister. Their connection strikes before either of them realize they have a mutual thread tying them together. When they become roommates, their chemistry reignites.

Claire is voiced by Andi Eloise, who absolutely nails the dynamics of a woman who feels misplaced and is sorting out her grief. Having just lost her mother, Claire is struggling to find her way out of the fog. Andi is brilliant at portraying a woman who feels restless and in need of some spark. She certainly finds it, and a whole lot more, with Beau. Andi delivers the vulnerability Claire feels in regard to her lack of ever experiencing physical pleasure — without making Claire sound ashamed or immature. As a female listener I really appreciated this layer of Claire’s character as well as Andi’s portrayal. Andi showcases Claire’s genuine curiosity and unapologetic exploration as a counterpoint to Beau’s dominant, yet nurturing, coaching in the bedroom.

Beau had me swooning immediately. He’s a southern gentleman with a heart of pure gold (“tied up” with some healthy kink 😏). Beau is blessed with and brought to life by way of the voice acting of Joe Arden. His accent is delivered with softness and a seductive warmth that feels characteristically Beau. Beau is a lead male character who is doting, dutiful and delicious. Joe balances his personality of golden retriever meets doberman so damn well in this role.

Lexi has written Beau as the embodiment of a partner who is in tune with his emotions, desires, and with his partner’s needs. After listening to book one and working through Parker (who is lovable in his own right, but also rigid), Beau is a bright contrast to his superior. The teaching and exploration Beau coaches Claire through had me melting. I’m so glad I had another chance to do some rounds at Midtown Medical.

Get tied up with Beau 😮‍💨

Lexie Woods does it again with Dr. Intern, the second installment in her Midtown Memorial series. This book (and her series so far) blends romance, friendship, hospital drama, and just enough steam to keep you blushing through your headphones.

This book follows Beau, an orthopedic intern (and Parker’s best friend from book one), and Claire, Parker’s sister. After a one-night stand that neither of them realize connects back to Parker, tragedy brings them together again when Claire loses her mom. Grief leaves Claire spiraling, and Beau—needing a place to stay—ends up moving in with her at Parker’s request. Cue forced proximity, unresolved tension, slow-burn chemistry, and an absolutely swoon-worthy romance.

What makes this book sing in audio is the duet narration by Joe Arden and Andi Eloise. Joe nails Beau’s charm with that deep, steady voice that slides so easily between confident and vulnerable. He captures Beau’s tenderness and his moments of “bad boy heat” with equal intensity, making it impossible not to fall for him. Andi Eloise is the perfect Claire. Her voice sparkles with Claire’s wit, sass, and chaotic energy, while still carrying the weight of her grief and insecurities.

The friendships and found family vibes of this series make it feel like the bookish equivalent of Grey’s Anatomy in its prime: a perfect mix of drama, passion, and heart.

The ending will have you wanting the next book right now. It’s a cliffhanger that introduces an old face and sets the stage for what’s next in Midtown Memorial. If you thought you were invested before, just wait.
