Resumen del Editor

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Tami Hoag returns with the latest entry in her riveting Oak Knoll series.

Deeper than the Dead introduced Tami Hoag's millions of fans to Oak Knoll, a small California town that, in the mid-80s, seemed as idyllic as any... until the See-No-Evil killer shattered that notion. It took FBI agent Vince Leone and a new technique called "profiling" to put an end to the trauma.

Secrets to the Grave brought Leone's teacher-turned-child- advocate wife, Anne, into a central role. Together with Vince and local sheriff 's deputy Tony Mendez, she solved an Oak Knoll murder with a particularly challenging mystery: The victim never existed. And now Hoag returns once more to Oak Knoll for the third installment of this best-selling series.

Through Leone's pioneering, science-based investigatory skills, Hoag explores the early days of forensic police work. And through the chilling case at the heart of Down the Darkest Road, she hooks ever more readers and listeners into the meticulously crafted, all-too-terrifying world of Oak Knoll, where the scariest secrets of all can be found... Down the Darkest Road.

She is the Queen !!!

I have just finished the third book in the Oak Knoll series .... She is an incredible writer !!! I could hardly break away to go to work !! Prior to these three books, I had never read anything by Tami Hoag..Now, I'm about to select another! She so develops her characters that you become attached to them and wonder how they are ... Even after the book is over !!! I hope there will be more to come in the Oak Knoll series !!! Thank you , Tsmi, for so much suspense and enjoyment !!

Whyyy?

Is this seriously the last book in the series? I’m heartbroken! I loved the storyline, the narrator, the characters. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for more in the future

3 of 3 Challenging Stories

in my opinion #1 in this three pack is by far the best. #2 keeps the general story connected. And this one is frosting on the cake - Great Finish to this series so far. True Momma Bear at heart this all rings so True....
Again great structure with details and tidbits coming back into play in perfect timing. Good flow for all three....is there more? One can only hope.

Great story!

I love that Hoag doesn't shy away from the hardest, darkest places humanity can go. She faces them head-on because it's real to be furious with the person who died and left you to cope alone. Or to hate a sibling for the choice they made that changed you forever in the worst ways. If you like stories that could happen to anyone, in all their ugliness, you'll like this one. All of these elements and more are in Hoag's fiction. I've been a fan for a long time. Not disappointed now.

Good Listen

This is the third in a series, but they can be stand alone. I really like the whole 80's theme. It is prior to cell phones and low jacking. I love how Tami has brought to light the beginning of pro-filing and how the crime fighters of the world began sharing information in order to catch killers. It is dark, but very good. Thanks Tami.
