Great story and narration

Catherine Cowles is a relatively new author to me but what I have read I have enjoyed.

This was a well written and entertaining read that roles the boxes for me. This is
Shepard (Shep) Colson and Thea’s story. There was a good balance of romance and suspense set in Sparrow Falls.

I fell hard for Shep, such a caring, loyal and protective man. I loved how determined he was to keep Thea safe, totally swoon worthy.

The narration by Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon brought the romance and suspense to life. Not only are their voices easy to listen too but they did justice to the story that Ms. Cowles wrote.

Love it

This audiobook was so good! I absolutely loved Thea and Shep’s story. And the narrators did an amazing job! They brought this story to life and I couldn’t stop listening! What I love about Catherine’s books is that she always keeps us guessing about who the bad person is. I’m loving this series!

Another Banger!

I don’t think I will ever get over reading Catherine’s books! The way she keeps us on our toes until the very end is so good and I will die on this hill!

Shep and Thea were perfection and I can’t wait to see where the rest of this series goes. <3

Thea is hiding from an abusive past. Changing her identity, hair color and eye color and allowing no technology whatsoever trying to insure her safety. She allows no one to get to know her. That is until she has a water leak on her bathroom that she can’t fix.

Shep, the local contractor has had his eye on Thea for quite awhile but she keeps him at arms length refusing even the slightest advance. But now she needs his help and begrudgingly allows him on her property. He immediately notices her fear and allows her to set the boundaries.

Then the reason for her fear and cause of her abuse shows up in town.

Will Brendan’s threats cause her to go back or will Thea stand and fight for her freedom or will Shep give in to his urges and remove Brendan from the equation. Read the book to find out!

I highly recommend this book! Shep will be your new favorite book boyfriend!

Love Shep and Thea!!

Once again, absolute perfection that comes from the magic mind of Catherine Cowles. This is the second book in the Sparrow Falls series and WOW. Shep and Thea's story is just perfect, I loved everything about it. There was the perfect amount of spiciness and suspense that grabs your attention. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the magic that Catherine weaves in these small-town love stories. I am always so excited to see what she comes up with next. I absolutely fell hard into Shep and Thea's story. So beautiful! Teddy and Erin are always on point with these narrations, absolutely love them together.

It’s never who I think it is. Loved the characters. Excited for Cope and Sutton’s story.

The Cinnamon Roll We All Need!

Thea and Shep were everything that is good in the world. They both have some struggles and some major past trauma and emotional baggage that has shaped who they are and how they interact with others. They overcome some pretty difficult hurdles in order to be together and when it finally happens, it is MAGIC! Thea was a tough girl for Shep to get through to, but he never gives up on being a support and friend to her no matter what. I love that he meets her where she is and provides her with a safe space to be herself. We black cats need that. ;) Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon were wonderful choices for the narration and they embodied Shep and Thea!

Once again, Catherine takes you on a thrill ride you don't see coming!

I absolutely loved it! Catherine Cowles is becoming a favorite for me! Shep and Thea are so sweet!

Such a great story

Such a great story! It’s full of drama, polite twists, love, exciting plot twists and spice! I loved this story!

From the prologue to the epilogue I was hooked.

These two! First and foremost I adore this family. They have all the found family vibes with a big dash of ride or die. I love how unconventional they are and how dedicated they are to each other. The way they rally around those they love is heartwarming. Everyone one is so different in personalities and lifestyles and I am so excited for the rest of this series.

Now onto Thea and Shep. The glimpse we got of Thea in Fragile Sanctuary I knew her story would be good. Shes on the run and healing as best she can from her traumatic past. My heart broke for her. I can’t even imagine experiencing what she did and still managing to come out on top.

Shep is the best brother and friend. His determination to helping and solving problems is admirable. His heart is still healing from the events of Fragile Sanctuary feeling guilty and his poor heart had me rooting for him.

I loved their relationship. I love that he was patient and didn’t push. The support once he found out what was happening was unparalleled. Their chemistry was on fire.

I didn’t see the end coming. I was convinced about another character and the shock I felt! It was perfect.

Loly and her shenanigans was the cherry on top of an amazing book. I can’t wait to see what kind of trouble she drums up as the series progresses.

This is a standalone and can be read without reading anything else but I highly recommend just diving fully into this series. You won’t regret it.

If you’re an audio listener this audiobook really brought the story to life and I can’t recommend it more.
