Everything sucks and it will only get worse. If you like being sad then it's a good book but I like some hope with my tragedy not just more tragedy.

I'm going to have to drop the series here just because of how depressing it is.

well written but depressing

Unfortunately, the author did not learn at all from the poor showing of book one. we still are treated to nothing but pointless.Useless teenage drama. the m c does not listen, she does not learn and she cannot be taught. all she does is have whiny.Hissy fits when she can't have her way.And despite trying to make her seem like she's smarter than her age.The author repeatedly proves that she's nowhere even near that. in this second book, the m c makes zero progress forward.And I do mean zero, it's a literal repeat of book one.

Of the two narrators only he does a halfway decent job. the female narrator on the other hand.
Repeatedly proves that she is not the best choice for this material. every other sentence is shrieking.Screeching hollering drama that actually hurts the eardrums.There is no variety to her voice acting either a very monotone.
Supposed adult woman or a screechy ear-splitting hollering teenage child.
It's horrendous, and thus performance only gets one star
