Not only will Jack Jupiter have to bury his mother, confront high school bullies, and save Darlene, but he'll have to fight the dead in order to stay alive. And these aren't like the zombies from his books.

Small time writer returns to the small town he was bullied in. overall not to bad.

The story may be ok, but I can’t finish it

The narrator is so monotone I had to look and verify it was a person and not the AI thing. I went through chapter 10. I realize I am spoiled by certain narrators, but this book may be better off just read by AI. It is that bad.

Other than that, if you like a nerdy, annoying author for the main character in a run of the mill zombie story and you are NOT a narrator snob like some of us are. I’m sure this book is fine. This is probably a fine read. (If you run out of all Mark Tufo’s Zombie Fallout books then his other series and all of the other authors we happily list on his fan group page. Ha ha ha.. )

Good writing

This could have been a stellar zombie story if the main character was not such a annoying wimp.

Can’t wait to listen to book 2!

It was a great book. I really enjoyed it. I can’t wait to look for book 2!

Main character starts off as a whiner but matures!

Jack Jupiter was initially SO ANNOYING that I wasn't certain I would finish the book, much less continue the series. But as things get wild in the scary new world, he grows favorably during the story. I must admit it--I'm hooked, I'm hooked, I'm ABSOLUTELY hooked!

Dead Haven

A nice zombie story. I enjoyed listening to it as I drove across Kansas. Please read this book.

The zombie action was as good as any out there. The main character was whiny and unappealing through out the whole book. And wow -the author really hates smokers and between the two I won't continue the series.

Boring Zombie Read

The writing is amateurish. The pacing is horrible. The action was somehow dull. Check out Keith C Blackmore for a good zombie read.

Pretty good.

Like this book more than I expected. It was well written. Like jack and the others who survive this first book. Look forward to the next.

To much talking

The story is so good but to to to much talk talk talk I was up to here listening to Darlene omg stop it I was forwarding to he going with the story I hope to god your second book is a lot of nonsense blah blah blah
