The Scott Harvath series has really slid

I have read all of these books, and this one is the worst. It officially makes the Scott Harvath series a tier 2 series. This particular book was trite and wildly uninteresting. There’s nothing intellectually stimulating about it and it reads like a cheap action movie starring Sylvester Stallone. It used to be that these books did an OK job of filling the void once you had read through the truly great novels (Jack carr, Vince Flynn, Kyle mills, etc..) but I would not recommend this book.

My first non-5 star rating for a Brad Thor book

I have thoroughly enjoyed every Brad Thor book until this one. Even in this one, the action was good. However, the blatant political propaganda ruined it for me.

I know I will be accused of being a Russian troll or “Putin sympathizer” for harboring ANY doubt whatsoever that JUST MAYBE, the war in Ukraine is even SLIGHTLY more nuanced than “crazy brutal evil dictator” vs “100% honest, benevolent, fearless, democracy loving Ukrainian President” who reluctantly suspended elections to preserve democracy. Yes, I know they are at war but the United States held Presidential elections in 1812 (War of 1812), 1848 (Mexican-American War) and 1864 (American Civil War) so it can be done.

I am NOT in any way saying Putin was justified in attacking Ukraine but at the same time, I am NOT a Zelenskyy simp. This book reads like it was written by the CIA as a propaganda piece to generate public support to send another $100 billion of US support to Ukraine (along with cluster bombs, long range missiles, maybe some American troops and a few nukes for good measure because nothing could possibly go wrong with President Biden calling for “regime change” in Russia.

I’ve got a year to decide if I will continue following Harvath’s adventures or call it quits after this propaganda piece.

this is not one of Brad Thor's best books. Armand Schultz is always does an amazing job narrating his book. it just felt too short, I don't get why you'd put Scott with a new team I'd rather see Haney and Stanley in the other people from the original team helping him out. I also don't see Scott taking on a mission like this is just out of character. the action was good, but not my favorite in the series.

Instant Desert Island All Time Favorite!

Classic Harvath with some new ingredients like Spy Game and the Guns of Navarrone stirrred in. I don’t want to spoil anything but I can guarantee you that that it’s the best post R.C. and L.R. Book yet!

Well done... Again

This is a great story cover to cover. A Good adventure well told. Can't wait till the next book.

Not Brads best work

The Washington DC component of this book was unnecessary. The Nicholas component was under used and quite simple to figure out way ahead of time and the story line itself was dry. I love that Brad has technical details and other interesting and intriguing facts in all his novels. I just felt that he kind of phoned this one in.

Enjoyed the journey

I just feel like, because what is going on in the world a story had to be written, and had to put Scot Harvath in it. I am a huge fan of Brad Thor and Scot Harvath.
I feel a little let down.

Very enjoyable story

Great story, no dead time and works well with today’s news. Can’t wait for his next book.
