I often don't read books ,or listen in this case, that I've seen the movie.... and boy have I seen the movie.... enjoyed every minute of this audio book... like I was hearing the story for the first time...👍👍👍

Dances with wolves will always be a part of me it is one of those books that teaches you courage strength and wisdom and how to learn from your mistakes.

Emotional

I was all ready to recommend this book to soooo many until I got to the end. I actually cried at the end, and I’m nearly 70 years old!! George Guidall is an excellent narrator! The story was amazing, but a couple of changes at the end would have made me much happier. I did not finish this book with a good feeling, but rather with an emptiness inside of me. Hopefully it won’t affect others in such a way. The story was just wonderful. You’ll know the two events that hurt me so much when you get there.

Much better than the film

I enjoyed the film back in the 90s but the book is quite different. Frankly it's much better. Very interesting to learn about the aboriginal Americans and their sustainable way of living before the arrival of the army, the hunters and all that entailed...

A book all Americans should read

I watched the movie many years ago when I was young. Too young to really grasp the entire meaning to this story. This time listening grabbed my heart bringing tears to my eyes and opening them to the reality of the white man. I do not believe in us today fretting over what our forefathers did. Nor do I believe in revenge, but rather that we could all do better then our forefathers in finding peace with each other. A perfect book to listen to.

A True 5-Star..Better than the movie!

Loved this.. I can't believe I grew up watching the movie but never read the book. This is truly a wonderful book and story. The performance was great! I can't say enough good things
