I really really enjoyed this installment in the series. Good fun. Will definitely be buying the next.

It’s pretty good, but I don’t love everything about it.

It’s giving christion Metal, it’s sorta DCC esk, which is fun, but it’s got some not so fun undertones little bit of God and Jesus here little bit of trans and homophobia there. It’s one thing to your character to be like oh that’s not my cup of tea. But to outright be like oh I don’t even wanna think about that. It scares me. Is leaning into the shitty political climate, and I don’t appreciate it. However, it’s not enough to go off by itself. I’m not condemning the book or anything. It may be unintentional. But that’s why we leave comments.

Love this series

I’ve really enjoyed this book. The story is awesome, the narrator voice is awesome. I’m looking forward to the next one.

Fantastic book!

The second title is even better than the last! You can tell the author is really fleshing his characters out! Love this and I want nay I demand more! Also Crock is so freaking lovable my god!

It is as entertaining as it is disturbing.

It is definitely weird, but weird isn't always a bad thing. Full of gore, violence, nightmare fuel, and enough Twilight references to choke a mimic.

Dan finally comes on his own

Comedic, grotesque, surreal. These are the prerequisites for a LitRPG I can enjoy, because any effort to worldbuild a plausible society around a RPG-like magic system falls flat on its face.
Discount Dan embraces the ridicoulsness and the horror of such a premise and I love it. I accused the first book of following the Dungeon Crawler Carl formula too close, but I don't think anymore we should make a trademark on this approach on the genre.
Dan finally sets himself apart from Carl, being more cautious and humorous, and I'm glad that the shop (such a cruel idea in a survivalist situation) now feels more like a hub town to expand instead of an exploit on people just trying to stay alive in a hostile supernatural environment.
I genuinely recommend it!

I Loved It

Such a fun LitRPG story, with characters that have depth, and cool abilities. I love the best boy Croc, may he eat all the Froyo,

great continuation to the story!

So, fun and absurd! I can't wait for book 3. The narrator does an excellent job with the voices, too.

Another Home run

Dan gets bigger and better with a whole new arsenal to kick the butts of all the dwellers determined to put him 6 feet under. and the next book Promises a power spike that'll hopefully make the flayed Monarch regret marking him for death. But the Franchiser awaits and the battle is going to be great if this book was any indication
