To cap it off, we're bound by a bond that makes me burn for him, even when I'm not sure I like the guy.

The ending saved it all!

Not to spoil but this book was a bit triggering for abusive relationships! I was a bit shocked that the majority of the book was so focused on that, yet I was determined to finish because I really enjoyed the way the author articulates the story and writing style, and wanted to see it to the end. I’m glad I did, the ending turned the story around in a direction that felt more interesting and enjoyable. Book two was so good! I’m looking forward to book 3 now.

Fun story and wondering where the story leads

The narration of male voices was a little cringe. And the rough sex was a little hard to listen to. But I’m guessing it’s leading to something good. The end was exciting.

Story felt very forced with the romance scenes. Overall, it felt like the book was confused about what kind of story it wanted to be - romance, paranormal, fantasy? I'm still not sure what the purpose of the main character is, nor did the writing cause me to want to learn more. But who am I to not recommend a book? I say give it a listen and see for yourself.

WTH was that? 0 plot, character building, sense. Waste of a credit in my opinion

My pettiest DNF to date

Story seemed interesting but I'm not a fan of using well known names of fictional characters, also for being at university and studying history FMC was not very smart which was unfortunate. After all the abuse in the early part of the book I was looking forward to her coming into her own but I did not expect to get triggered by the MMC talking while she's trying to pay attention to her lecture. That sort of disrespect was too much for me and I DNF'd just as she met him lol

Abusive relationship warning.
It was hard to follow and couldn’t tell where it was going. The ending made me want to maybe listen to the next book but wish I used my Audible token for the combined 1st and 2nd book or not at all.
