I miss this series already

I absolutely loved pens story. It was uplifting Magical Just a great story for such a great character. I love that he fell hard. it's the way it should have been but he's been growing up and these books all along with tutoring Sam and in this book it really showed. I actually was laughing at some of the parts in this story but mostly smiling from ear to ear because it was so heartwarming. the narrators in these stories are in this story didn't phenomenal I love both male and female narrators they did such an excellent job. I highly recommend this.

Amazing story

I loved listening to this Crazy Love so much! Connor Crais and Vanessa Edwin brought this beautiful story to life with all the wonderful characters. This is one of my favorite.

Fabulously narrated. I love these narrators. This series is amazing.

The story is full of emotional depth and heartfelt moments. Penn (MMC) is a hockey player who wants to help a young boy by fostering/adopting him but the system is giving him issues. Addy is the coaches daughter and is back in town to work for the team.

Penn is surprised to find out that Addy the girl he can’t stop thinking about is his coaches daughter. Willow Aster gives us a great book that is swoon worthy. I highly recommend this book and series. It is dual narration but they do it well.

Emotional, heartwarming & perfect

I can't remember crying this much from so many heartwarming moments as I did while listening to this book. Willow Aster really nails this last chapter in her Single Dad's Playbook series - talk about all the feels! I knew Penn's story was going to be something special & it did not disappoint.

If you've read this series (this can be read as a standalone), you know Penn has mentored a young foster boy named Sam, whom he wants to adopt. When his almost one-night stand, Addy, comes back into the picture, she surprises him by proposing marriage to help with the adoption. This is a marriage of convenience, workplace/coach's daughter romance, but the real story is Penn & Addy's transition to parents. They fall in love with each other, but also their kids (yes, there is more than just Sam, but I don't want to give too much away).

There is so much swoon in this book that I nearly melted. If you are looking for a palate cleanser after reading maybe some darker, angsty romances (like I was), this is so perfect! From beginning to end, it's super sweet, funny, and these two MCs just bring out the best in one another. Of course, there is spice (medium-ish burn) & the chemistry between Penn & Addy is pure fire. But it's the way these two love their children, how they will protect them & the way the kids open up to them that just had me gutted in the best way.

If you are a fan of this series, all of the "Single Dads" and their partners show up in memorable ways. This is such a wonderful ending to this series & I can't wait to see what Willow Aster writes next.

If you love audiobooks, the dual narration by Connor Crais & Vanessa Edwin is perfect. I love this series on audio, and this last chapter is no different. These characters are brought to life - but be careful while listening in public, as you might ugly cry like I did!

I really loved this story. Like many others in the series, I was immediately drawn to the characters - Penn and Addy - and their instant chemistry during a whirlwind connection in the Bahamas. I’m a sucker for fate-driven plots, and knowing they were bound to find each other again made it even more satisfying when they did.

Returning from vacation to work for Penn’s team, Addy brings a whole new layer of tension to the story, especially since her dad is Penn’s coach. Their dynamic is flirty, emotional, and complicated in all the best ways. They’re publicly married, but what no one knows is that they tied the knot so Penn could foster Sam to keep him safe. That secret adds emotional weight to every interaction as their connection deepens and the line between “fake” and real love quickly blurs.

But what really made this book shine was its heart. Watching Penn and Addy go through the emotional highs and lows of fostering Sam - and later Winnie - was just beautiful. The way the kids slowly opened up, felt safe, and started to trust… it was heart-wrenching in the best way. And that Christmas reveal, when they found out they’d officially become a forever family? Absolute perfection. 🥹

Yes, it’s a bit predictable and yes, it leans into the mushy moments - but honestly? That’s part of what made it so special. The found family warmth, the tenderness, the slow build of love and trust… it’s hard not to fall in love with this crew.

This whole series took me by surprise and I loved each book. This book was by far my favorite of the bunch though. I'm sad to see this series come to an end. I loved Penns dedication to Sam and doing everything he could to make his life better. Then in walks Addy and helps it all fall into place when its needed the most. These two were just the perfect pairing and had great chemistry. I think one of the things in these books I loved the most were the group text messages...they always cracked me up and this book was no different.

🎧 Connor Crais and Vanessa Edwin were the perfect voices to narrate this book. The story flowed and was a joy to listen to.

The BEST finale!!

I loved this book so much, might be my favorite in the whole series. Now we need a whole new series for all the offspring!
