Hard Listen

This is the third book/first series I've read/listened to by Eva Winners. It was a great continuation that was difficult to listen to at times. But I love how different the storylines are and how easy the characters are to like! I was completely immersed into the audiobook. I think this one is my favorite so far.

Karl Michaels and Penelope Ann Rose are excellent narrators. Love their voices. They brought the audiobook to life with emotional performances. Well Done!

Very good, but….

Three books into the series it becomes clear that Winners is going to inject lengthy, repetitive bouts of inner dialogue into every scene. Not only does she “bookend” each scene w/ the MC thoughts, but there’ll be a minute or more string of inner dialogue between each comment in a conversation and each step in an action scene.

The story itself is very good, but when what a character is thinking interrupts the flow to this degree - especially if it’s redundant dialogue - it can become frustrating.

Cassio

Cassio is the third book in the Bells and Mobsters series. This book is about Cassio and Áine.

Something happens to Áine when she is young, and Cassio is there to help her out. Now years later Áine is after those who wrong women, but has her own issues, as she can't remember her own past traumas.

Things happen that force Cassio and Áine together. Can Cassio help protect her from the one person she is after who wronged her? Can Cassio and Áine build their relationship with everything they have been through? Will Cassio and Áine get their happy ending?

I've really liked getting to know these two characters. We have seen how they have both grown through the years. I am excited to see what happens next in this series.

Amazing

I could listen to Penelope for days and never get tired of her voice. She does an exceptional job. The story was totally kick ass. And I really enjoyed this female character.

Not my favorite

What’s frustrating me about this series is that with ever male narrator change, so does the voices/accents of the recurring male characters. In Nico, Cassio had an odd, posh, almost English accent.. but in this one, it was like Goodfellas.

I also was annoyed at how sex obsessed Àine was. Most of her inner monologues were about how horny she was. lol.

Ironically, for me… I could have used more story and less spice. I know, blasphemy! lol.

Belles & Mobsters (Cassio)

Eva does it again, Another beautiful and full of action book. I read this one on Kindle, but i just needed to get the Audio Version and let me tell you this is 1000% better. The best part is the Duet Narration, Penelope and Karl portrayed Cassio and Aine perfectly. Can't wait for the rest of the series and all the other books.

Emotional and Thrilling!

This is the third book in the Belles and Mobsters series, a Dark Mafia Romance. I love this series! Cassio and Áine's story is emotional, thrilling, and enthralling, filled with action, secrets, revenge, and twists and turns. Cassio is handsome, protective, and supportive. Áine is strong, smart, and determined. The supporting characters are intriguing. The world building is intricate, and captivating. Great narration from Penelope Ann Rose and Karl Michaels. Looking forward to listening to Alexei, the next book in the series. I highly recommend it. #PFPAudio

Book 3 Belles & Mobsters

Every book in this series is phenomenal. I am loving the Belles & Mobsters.
This book did not disappoint.
Cassio saved Aine when she was young. Nine years later they cross paths again.
Cassio sets his goals on getting Aine. Aine sets her goals on taking down Marco King, yes the half brother of Cassio.
Although, Cassio and Aine have had “relations” in the past, she is forced to marry Cassio.
I know there is a lot to unpack with the storyline, but it is wonderful!
Penelope Ann Rise and Karl Michaels did an excellent job with the narration. Karl was a true mobster, and Penelope was a strong FMC.
