Resumen del Editor
In Carry That Quota, Jesse Rothstein provides an insider’s account of how to succeed in sales. Drawing on more than 15 years of sales experience across multiple fields and continents, Rothstein unpacks numerous essential topics.
Chief among them are how to determine if a career in sales is right for you, how to cultivate productive relationships with clients and coworkers while still ensuring one’s professional development, and how to leverage a diverse set of tactics as the field evolves. Underpinning Rothstein’s argument is the belief that sales is a craft - not dissimilar from a doctor performing surgery or a lawyer prosecuting a case - that demands a complex skill set and knowledge.
Whether you are just beginning your career in sales, a seasoned executive, or a professional in another field looking to hone your brand, Carry That Quota will equip you with concrete strategies to help you sell yourself and/or service more effectively.

Historia
Careers are not linear, predictable ladders any longer; they are fluid trajectories. No matter our age, life stage, bank account balance, or seniority, we are all being asked to navigate career changes much more frequently than in years past. The average employee tenure in America is just four to five years, and even those roles change dramatically within that time. Our economy now demands that we create businesses and careers based on creativity, growth, and impact. In this dynamic world of work, the only move that matters is your next one.

Historia
Skilled lawyers who open their own firms can quickly find their dream career turning into a nightmare. When the firm doesn’t grow as fast as you expected, the money doesn’t come like you’d hoped despite working long hours, and your less-capable peers are passing you by, it can be demoralizing and deeply frustrating. Mike Morse has been there. The change he made that transformed both his personal life and his professional future was running his law firm like a business.

Best sales book I’ve read (and I’ve read them all)
This book made me proud to be in sales. It’s more than a wonderful collection of tips and tricks to help those in sales perform better and regain control on their work. It’s a deeper book about finding meaning in your work and leveraging that meaning to perform better. I’d recommend this book to anyone in business. A must read!

Very insightful and practical
Jesse’s unique perspective from the sales professional to the sales professional was spot on! The level of detail, down to the tools and how he plans his time were really helpful for me onboarding remotely during the pandemic! This book should be a party or new hire onboarding!
