Alice Wu is at Camp Rewind only because her therapist thinks it'll help her overcome the social anxiety she's battled since childhood. She's not sure she believes that theory, but will try anything to make a real friend. A casual fling would also be nice, but she's not holding her breath.

Rosa Salazar hopes camp will be an escape from a life permanently altered. Eviscerated online for her feminist critique of a popular video game, Rosa has endured months of anonymous threats over social media, doxxing, and, worst of all, the posting of graphic, sexually explicit material stolen from her cloud storage - including a dirty video she made for an ex. Using a fake name, she enrolls in camp craving a return to a simpler time, before the shame.

Alice and Rosa soon discover that at Camp Rewind, anything is possible. Even an unlikely friendship that swiftly becomes something more.

Not as much fun as Infinite Loop. Not as engrossing or amazing as Wild. Not as sexy as 13 hours or the Muse. Not as emotionally stirring as Battle Scars or The Night Off.
Having said that; I enjoyed this story and it brought up interesting points about social brutality and general anxiety. It's shortfalls came from the charecters. They were too much alike, with the same weaknesses and strengths with just different timing and causes. It made the emotional dips and peaks less powerful and the tensions less intreging.

Good but not great.

I enjoyed this, but recommend earphones some of the events are a bit explicit. The ending was a bit abrupt, but brought the story full circle.

A bit racy

I loved the narrator. However, the story was not as compelling as O’Brien’s other works. I didn’t feel as invested in the characters, and the plot seemed to be a bit far fetched. I was also disappointed with the steamy scenes. My Best Friends Sister, 13 Hours, and The Night Off had far better sex scenes.

O’Brien is amazing. I’m not too unhappy that I didn’t like ONE book of hers. I am a die hard fan of all the others.

Try the book out if you don’t need to read/hear kinky sex scenes and are into a rushed weekend summer romance.

Not as good as her other books.

Alice Wu’s therapist recommended a trip to Camp Rewind to help with her anxiety. A romantic fling would also be welcomed. Rosa Salazar wants an escape from the madness of internet bashing after she wrote a blistering article about a video game. She uses a fake name and cuts her hair to hide her identity. An unlikely friendship develops into a romantic relationship. An erotic story of finding solace and new friends. Great author and narration.

A Wild Camping Week

I enjoyed this book. It gave me insight into a world I know nothing about. It was a sweet story. I don't need to read it again though. If I really loved it I could listen 2-3 times in as many weeks. Not this one though. I'll try another by the same author.

What more could anyone ask for?

Well ask for it or not she always delivers the most kind loving souls and insightful loving scenarios.

The first couple chapters are hard as you listen to the heart wrenching lives these two live. The building of live and trust that comes is definitely worth it.

Meghan O’Brien’s lust filled imagination

I loved the story, even the extremely detailed love scenes :) But I didn't care for the narrator, she gave a very childish voice to one of the characters, and I didn't like that.... was like listening to a pedophile book...

Good story

Too bad narrator sounds like a teen when characters are supposed to be in there mid 30's. It kinda ruined it, frankly.

Nice story. Not convinced on narrator choice.

Would you try another book from Meghan O'Brien and/or Faith Clarke?

Yes.

Would you recommend Camp Rewind to your friends? Why or why not?

Not really. Too much talking in the sex parts, that messed up the whole scene.
I got irritated and fast forward.

What does Faith Clarke bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Just the actions.

Do you think Camp Rewind needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Not if they do all that unnecessary talking while having sex.

Any additional comments?

She's I good writer. I have read listen to quite a few of her audiobooks , just chill with all the talking during sex. Starting and stopping while trying to get the groove on. Laughing out loud.

MO definitely has better ones in my opinion, but still a good book. The struggles the MCs go through and how they try and overcome them is something everyone can relate to a lil…I think. Some good steamy bits also.

Not my fav, but still good.
