Lovely listen

I really enjoyed hearing about the hot shots and what they do. This age gag trope is right up my alley and it is so well done!

Wow....just wow!

I love Annabeth’s books but this was just a fantastic experience! Iggy Toma will go down as my ALL TIME favorite narrator, and this was one of the great ones. His characters just come to life and you feel like you are right there in the story. I didn’t know about smoke jumping and I loved that it was new to me. Don’t miss this! You must listen to it!!!

reasons, obscurity, things

Good storyteller, and good story tries far to hard. Throughout the first half you are struggling constantly to work out what all the obscure "reasons" and if there are so many, what are they. it was sooooooo frustrating.

Liked but too much resistance for me

I adore Annabeth Albert, and LOVE Iggy Toma, that kept me going. I really like the premise and the characters. HOWEVER, the amount of resistance put on my Linc got SERIOUSLY old and taken way too long in to the story. I got so frustrated with it I ended up speeding it up to 2x speed. I'm all for fighting what's meant to be, but there comes a point where it's enough. I wanted to reach in the book and choke Linc. lol Thankfully, as I knew it would, it all end happily.
