Wonderful happy story

I truly loved this story, There were so many sweet moments and many laughs, a few tears too. Highly recommended. The narration was really outstanding, and I am particular about the performance so when I say that I really mean it. John Solo brought the story to life. It was really excellent. All around a definite thumbs up.

Not too sugary or too angsty

I enjoyed this audiobook. The trope is a common one, but Keira Andrews puts a unique spin on it with elements of grief, unexpected parenthood, and found family. Logan’s self discovery was believable, but not too angsty. Seth is the kind of character that I think John Solo narrates particularly well, kind of shy but curious and tough when he needs to be. John Solo can be hit or miss for me, but I think he did a really good job here.

Omg The Feels

This author continues to amaze me. Here she took a common trope (fake boyfriends) but elevated it. She nailed the drama of a man discovering his sexuality while dealing with a surly teenager. A plus for the writing and the narration.

📖 Took me a while to warm up to Logan's character, but overall I enjoyed The Christmas Deal. The pace was good, the characters felt real and the story was well written. 😊 I'd be happy to listen to it again.

🎧 John Solo did a good performance with the characters, he has good inflections and intonations and it was easy to feel the emotions of the story. I did find times when the rhythm was slightly off and the narration felt a little stilted, but it was only a minor thing and not enough to pull me from the story.

A great holiday read/listen

A low-angst, bi-awakening/GFY, single parent, fake relationship, down on his luck guy, Christmas romance.

Excellent narration.

The Christmas Deal

This story was delightful! A perfect Christmas tale! Logan and Seth seemed like the odd couple at first! Playing pretend boyfriends is hilarious bc the only ones are fooling is themselves- toss in a stepson, and grieving the loss of a parent—themes threaded throughout the story are captured very well- losing a parent due to health reasons and another losing a parent bc of being gay-losses make for an interesting look at what it means to create your own family!🥰

What a great heartfelt and endearing Christmas story. It doesn’t even need a Christmas theme, it’s just so good.

Perfectly balances emotion and steam!

I enjoyed this fake fiance/fake relationship Christmas M/M Romance so much! This is my second time reading this book, the first was in e-book, and I had forgotten how emotional it was. John Solo narrated it beautifully, bringing out the emotion in every syllable and character. I was so excited when I heard he was doing this Keira book as well, he has become one of my favorite narrators.
It had a lot of depth I was not expecting, The author managed to pack in a lot into these characters and I loved it! It had: friends-to-lovers, fake relationship, bi-awakening, OFY, a kid, found family- all of my favorite romance tropes and themes.

Logan, the straight single step-dad has a lot on his plate, he is desperate, and so is Seth. They end up in a fake relationship so fast it takes them some time to understand what it going on. Dealing with an angry teenager and looking for a job, Logan is sort of gruff, yet he is so gentle with Seth and really helps him blossom into a proud man. Seth was so endearing, his life was in a stand-still after he broke up with his ex, and his unfinished house is a true metaphor for his life. Logan helps him finish the renovation, makes the house a home, and makes Seth accept himself too.
Their romance is steamy and super satisfying with their wonderful HEA.

Keira Andrews and John Solo, you can’t go wrong

Lovely feel good Christmas story. Romantic and hot sex scenes like only keira andrews can write. I’ve listened to this book four times! And counting 😍😍😍
