next amazing book in a long line of books. once again will wright has made me want more of this series.

Lindon the Prodigal Son?

The story of a prodigal son returning home?

Bloodline explores some tough issues revolving around expectations and growth. Will Wright does not take the easy way returning the hero to his homeland. He forces Lindon and his hopes/dreams/aspirations to confront some harsh (and unfair) realities. Lindon and his friends must overcome more than the dread god and the mysterious suppression field of Sacred Valley. In so doing, they face daunting odds, serious power reductions, doubt, and disbelief.

The book does a fine job handling these issues without diminishing the hero's journey. As the author does this, Will Wright advances the over-arching contexts (as well as component storylines) in a satisfying way, but moves this book to a more nuanced level beyond the first eight books. I think "Bloodline" improves the series by growing not only the characters, but also their motivations.

Powerful addition to Cradle!

This book is so good! Love the progression of the book and the knowledge that we get as readers to continue to unfurl the Cradle Universe! I can’t wait for the next one - that ending is totally unexpected!! Wonderful Job Will Wight!

I've listened to the entire series and am coming back to review. in short, great book, great series, don't skip the bloopers.

The Moment Many of Have Waited For

The return to sacred valley has been one of the most anticipated moments in the Cradle series and in Bloodline we finally get to see it. The reunions vary from satisfying to unexpected and I found this to be a more emotionally charged book than those o the previous series. Lindon's problems can't all be solved with enough strength and his growth over the years away is brought into stark relief. The relationships that have been forged over the course of 8 books truly shine here and as has been the norm with Cradle books, you'll find yourself wanting to launch yourself into book 10.

Prefect Transition

I have never left a review before and have read hundreds of books.
Forget the negative reviews that complained about the MC acting weak. This book was for lack of a better word (perfect). It perfectly captured how this character would feel going home after changing so much. How he wished the people of his hometown would see his worth after dismissing his potential for so long. Plus his inner core would still affect his personality after being the weakest person in his group from the beginning. You will have that lack of confidence with you for a long time, and you can see his growth every time he pushes it aside.
Again, the author captures this Perfectly!
