Listened to "Bits and Pieces" today.
It was so wonderful, funny and touching.
I Have been sick for a week and listening to it has touched me to my core. You were blessed to have a Mom like your Momma. I was blessed for mine warts and all.
I hope my kids feel the same about me when I am gone.

Your stories about your childhood took me back to those times and reminded me of my upbringing . I am 69 and I remembered all the things you spoke of.
What a wonderful story highly recommend it.
The nursing story was just like mine I laughed so hard.

Enjoyable listen ..some great stories! Not exactly what I was expecting but I enjoyed it just the same.

I listened to this in one day. It was like spending a day with Whoopi and getting to know a bit more about her life. Highly recommend !

Appreciate Whoopi sharing the relationship with her mom. Made me reflect on memories of my mom who pasted in 2020. The bond with my mother is eternal and the appreciation once their no longer on this earth is beyond special. Thanks Whoopi!

Honestly, I love this story so much . From my mom working night shifts at the hospital to her always taking us into the city for a show or see the tree. The Yule log in WPIX. ( I live in NJ) my dad was in the picture, Because I believed in Santa much older than most, and learned the magic of what a parent can do to keep you from growing up too quick. I also remember the day I became an orphan, and there isn’t a day I don’t still think of my folks. So many days I still have so many questions and feel like a lost kid. Amazing job of telling your tale, no one else could have done it better . Thank you for sharing

What a positive

Having lived as an evangelical preachers kid in a negative critical family growing up I certainly enjoyed hearing this story of an uplifting family portrait that I have never ever experienced. I have to say, I learned a lot from this book especially how to answer a question in a non controversial thoughtful way. While I am considered writing my own life story, I thought about all the other negative stories that have been written and I think….does the world really need another negative book?!? …. I listened to this positive uplifting book while recovering from eye surgery, I bought it and had it ready for my recovery time when I was home and in bed. While the pain was almost intolerable, I still found myself laughing hysterically as tears rolled down my cheeks… and I just had the best time learning, laughing, crying and ……recovering……eyes, heart and soul.

I’m not finished yet. Her reading and writing brought me back to my childhood in ny. I’m savoring every word. Thank you Whoopi.
