Words… I’m not good at, so just gonna say… Thank you Jean Grae. Hands down the best audio book I have ever listened to.

I was a fan of her as a rapper, knew gists of her real life, this book open up the whole box of Jean for me and I am obsessed!

This was so pleasant, real and tragic all at the same time. Thoroughly brilliant! The story is vey relatable and transports you to places and different times effortlessly. I really enjoyed this!

A balm for the brain. Can’t say enough good about it, Truly unique and inspirational. And as well all know, a reader makes or breaks an audiobook and this is the BEST reading I’ve ever heard. A one of one story. Loved it!

This book is everything and more than I expected. It is a masterpiece of emotion, inspiration, honesty, inclusion and self love. Knowing the author in real life, this captures everything of her essence and beauty and kindness with such respect and artistry. Do yourself a favor and read this, then ask for another book like me!!

Love this story!

Great story telling! Very nostalgic for this NYC girl! Took me right back to my youth. Also can totally relate as I am perimenopausal. Highly recommend!

Jean, you brilliant so and so!

It’s hard to pick one thing to talk about. It was all so good! From Mumra the Ever-Living musing, to the very real Perimenopause insights, to the details expectations about her funeral; it is a fun read and something that i really got in to. I have to go work on my outfit and fragrance profile for that event.

From 23rd st to Capetown (how did I not know this?!) Mumrah to peri menopause to the gentle dings filling folks in on our childhood staples, it was FANTASTIC!

Good. Not really for me, though

I know Jean Grae as a great MC. She performed this book as an amazing Narrator. I found this book to be her inner monologue unrestricted. At times, it is confusing, offensive to men, and a bit narcissistic. I am not the audience she targeted in writing this book. But it is honest! And honesty is valuable and important. It is her coming to grips with aging with some dreams differed. Some will love it. I liked it solely for her performance.
