What the heck...

I listen to audible while I'm working or driving to and from work. Let me just say, you need to listen intently in the beginning, or you'll miss stuff in the end and you'll be very confused. The ending was great, until the very last plot twist, and then I was just annoyed. I don't think I would actually recommend this book to anyone.

Best thriller I've read in a long time!

This book kept me guessing! Every time I thought I had an idea that I had it figured out, some other twist presented itself and I was sucked in again (trying to figure out the answer)

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The plot did keep me on the edge of my seat and I found myself wanting to read/listen to the book during every spare minute I had!

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. But I liked the narrators very much.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I don't want to spoil this for anyone who hasn't read it, but YES! I had an extreme reaction during and at the end of the book.

Just read the book... don't read anything online about it ... just read it all yourself and WOW!

BEST AUDIBLE BOOK EVER .....GRIPPING and UNEXPECTED

Hands-down the very best audible book I have ever bought. The narration was incredible. I agree with other reviews that said the characters flowed seamlessly. The story is one of the best ever!!! I couldn’t believe the twist at the end I didn’t see it coming and I’m usually pretty good at this. I get bored easy and this one had me listening into the wee hours of the night. I was sad it was over! I am recommending it to everyone I know.

When you think you know, think again!

These are the kind of books that keep you up all night because you have to know how it ends. This book didn't disappoint!

An Unlikely Story

Single mom Louise is having an affair with her new boss who is decidedly married. Then she becomes close friends with his wife. But she’s not the crazy one.

BHE is fast paced and I was immediately drawn in. I found the story a bit confusing at first because I had so many questions. Pinborough does excel at being so descriptive that the reader slowly gets immersed into the subtle nuances of the book until you’re a part of this spinning, mind blowing chaos. Believable? Meh. Fun? Yes!!

Audiobook Review I thought the narration was done great. It was entertaining, clear, dramatic and definitely enhances the reading experience.

If Not For The Ending...

It would have been at least four stars.
I thoroughly enjoyed the ride and loved trying to guess who was what. And even if the author had somehow managed to more fully integrate the paranormal into the normal, that ending was so jarring and so forced that one wonders where it came from.
Loved all the narrators with the weird exception of throwing in the male voice at the end.
Without giving anything away, I shake my head at the author's decision. It's a shame because the whole novel was really terrific with well-drawn characters and very suspenseful happenings.

No good Deed Will Go Unrewarded

Would you consider the audio edition of Behind Her Eyes to be better than the print version?

Absolutely. The different charcters and their accents were brought to life by the audio book!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The plot was great. However it cost me a night sleep because I couldn't turn if off. I HAD to find out what was going on!

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

Louise, I loved her "head talk."

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I read I would HATE the ending!!! When it was all over I thought to myself "ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? OH I DO HATE THAT ENDING!!!"

Hated the ending

I really liked the opening chapters of this book. The characters were beginning to develop nicely and then we lost a couple of the characters along the way - one in particular that provided a little comic relief and helped to keep the tension from developing too much too soon. This book should have ended 2 chapters earlier than it did. I absolutely hated the ending. In fact the ending ruined this book for me. Had I known about this ending prior to the purchase of this book I would not have purchased it and will not be recommending this Book to anyone . This book could have received a solid four stars but this author made the mistake of one twist too far several alternate endings went through my mind all better than the one provided by this author. I shake my head and think too bad this could have been a great book.

Not Worth Reading

It started off well and interesting and I kept reading. Suddenly it turned into a ridiculous science fiction book and I didn't bother finishing it. If I had known it wasn't going to end in the real world I wouldn't have started

Loved it!

While I wasn't completely happy with a few parts of the book, that doesn't take away from giving it a five star review. It was entertaining it was suspenseful I never guessed the cliffhanger and I would listen to it again. I can't remember ever saying that about a book in the last several years.
