That it’s like her other books. Like the suspense .

I like mystery. I didn’t like her poor sister having a breakdown. I wish there had more description about the house.

decent story concept

I liked the book, overall, but I felt like it was done in a rush or something. Certain parts felt abrupt and the narrator just wasn't that great. Not enough emotion I think. I liked the atmospheric idea of rain, graveyards, old mansion, but it seemeda bit forced. I'm a sucker for a decent mystery and happy endings (sorry if thats a spoiler), so I still enjoyed it.

Love the story disliked the reader

Like all, Jana, books love the storylines always keeps you going with what’s gonna happen next however, the reader to me read like a third grader. I had to speed up the context of the book just because I wanted to listen, and I knew if I returned it, I would have to buy it to read it. So if you can get past the reader, the story is great.

Not up to DeLeon’s normal high quality.

Kind of juvenile story… A cliche search for hidden treasure with hidden passageways, etc. that could have had a stronger storyline.

A continuation of The Secret of Cypriere Bayou

If I’d realized this was essentially a part two of The Secret of Cypriere Bayou story that I enjoyed, I would have purchased it immediately after finishing.

When I read the description, I was a bit confused and was worried I might be buying the same book that has some updates, but it is a completely new book with the same place, people and some new.

Great story, really glad I made the purchase. I enjoyed just as much as the 1st.

I might have like this better with a different narrator. It wasn’t what I expected.

Good plot twist

As other listeners have said, the narration is awful. I had to slow the audio down one click to be able to listen to it as her pace is too fast. Story line was a bit scooby doo “I would have gotten away with it….” But overall good story. Wish it hadn’t cost me a whole credit tho.

Good Story

The story was great, but the reader was in no way engaging. It was a struggle to get through, which is a shame, because I love this author's work!
