Well, that's one way to embark on a journey of self-discovery. This was such a good story. It was the perfect balance of sweet and spice, and the casting for the narration was on point. Grayson, Stella and Stephen were a fantastic trio.

I really loved seeing Nathan's journey from being a literal pushover to a man who is not afraid to express what he wants and go for it.

I really enjoyed the polycule dynamics and how perfect all three of them are together. Morgan and Nathan being switches was so much fun, especially when they brat together.

Truly amazing listen and book

This book by Kayla Grosse is truly phenomenal and an exceptional listening experience. Relating to one of the main characters, Nathan, was unexpected yet profoundly moving. His journey of self-discovery regarding his sexual orientation, alongside breaking free from the pressure to be perfect as dictated by family and societal expectations, was deeply inspiring—especially for those who have experienced a similar path as a gay man coming to terms with their sexuality later in life after being told it is unnatural or wrong, or fearing that being authentic would shatter the ideal life envisioned by family. The portrayals of Fox and Morgan are equally captivating, from Morgan’s caring and playful demeanor to Fox’s dominant yet secretly gentle and compassionate nature. Their relationship, along with their unwavering acceptance and support for Nathan, enhances the emotional depth of the story. The romantic and intimate elements resonate regardless of sexuality or preference, drawing the listener further into the narrative. Kayla Grosse demonstrates exceptional talent, weaving together emotion, passion, and profound love between characters, making her a remarkable author and storyteller.

This book surprised me in the best way!

A plus size FMC who is confident, desired, and never written as a compromise instead of the prize.

I’ve never read a plus size character that didn’t feel like “she’s cute for a big girl” but this never does that. She’s sexy because she is sexy. Full stop. Comfortable in her own skin and completely unapologetic.

The relationships feel intentional, adult, and grounded in real emotion, not just spice for the sake of being spicy. What stood out most was watching the MMCs truly explore themselves. Pushing their limits, unpacking what intimacy actually means to them, and doing real work around emotional availability and vulnerability. It felt honest, raw, and earned.

The narrators absolutely delivered! They made me feel like I was in the room with them, fully immersed in every moment, which elevated the entire experience. I loved seeing older main characters who communicate, men who feel real and human, and queer characters woven naturally into the story rather than treated like a checkbox.

This was refreshing, empowering, and sexy without losing substance. Absolutely a standout read! I bought ALL of Kayla’s books 😍❤️.
