There’s a deeper side to the antagonist.

Excitement is building in the series! The plot is really heating up! The antagonist appears to be hiding more than originally expected.

Lovely Story, Capable Narrator

I'm a large fan of this series. Romance, intrigue, betrayal, friendship, and memories of another life, if you enjoy lighter hearted political fantasy, this series is a good one.

As for the Narrator, she has a lovely voice. Somehow reminds me of wind chimes. She's engaged in the narrative and does her best with providing voices for the various characters. Her pronunciation is clear and crisp, paced well, and easy to listen to. Some of the men's voices are at the edge of her vocal range, but it by no means detracts from the experience.

Still a good story

The pacing is definitely letting up from the previous books. There were a lot more skips before but now it seems to be steadying.

It is definitely slow burning the romance which I'm rarely a fan of but at least the reasoning makes some sense. I just wish the MC would be less oblivious about who her love interest actually is.

The narration is amazing but she does tend to do the same voices for all the "old people," but it is never really an issue.

I will be continuing when they finally release Book 4 on audible
