Not a bad listen

A little predictable but, all and all a nice listen. Narrator is entertaining and story moves along at a good pace. Will be moving on to the 2nd book.

A Fun Romp Around the Marriage Mart

A delightfully light, entertaining read. Well written, clever dialogue, engaging characters. Pitch-perfect narration. Well worth the credit.

Predictable but so much fun!!!

I found myself hoping I knew the ending!! I was hooked from the very beginning!!

DEFINITION OF A ROMANCE IS AN HEA

Just because you expect at the beginning that a Romance will have a happy ending, doesn't make it predictable. This was very well written Fiction. I wasn't expecting a dull history book, I just wanted a few laughs and a good story. That, I got in spades - and hearts.
The dialogue was witty, and fun, the teen agers were believably young, and the emotions of all the characters were real and very believable.

I thought the author, while reminiscent of Jayne Auston, had a unique point of view, with a slightly more modern spin. I really don't care whether it is historically accurate or not. I just want to be entertained. I don't really want the realism of ladies picking their way across manure and filth-ridden streets while coughing their lungs out because of the smog and stench.

I love it when characters grow, emotionally, as they deal with what life throws at them.
Both main characters had a great weight of responsibility and the ways they handled it were unique.

Eleanore Tomlinson is a lovely storyteller. I will look for more of her narrations, and I will also be listening to the next book in this series.

It's a light easy read with interesting characters and some unexpected twists to
keep it interesting.

Loved it

Great writing. I loved the way the writer sl described the main character. She was not the typical proper lady which made the story much more interesting. I always prefer books with no bad words or sex scenes since I listen to the books while cooking and my kids are always present, I appreciated that this book had none of those.
This book had all the thing so that I look forward to in a book.
