This story was great fun, The characters were well developed by the author, and the narrator performed them well. I especially enjoyed the portrayal of little Rose.

I loved it so much. A wonderful feel good story. Charming and delightful. I will look for other books by this author, Suzanne Enoch.

Predictable but fun. The voices were really enjoyable allowing you to get to know the characters better

Fun and lively tale

I picked this up, then had been putting off reading it. Looking at the summary, it just sounded tedious. But it was done as a light-hearted and fun romp. Even when elements were added to the story that could have made it heavy or awkward, they were handled in a light-hearted way. It never felt plausible, but I don't require that from the books I enjoy. It was well written and well narrated, and I enjoyed the time I spent listening to it.

It’s clean, funny and there’s actually a plot

Susan Enoch is on a list of authors I once really enjoyed but stopped getting due to the unfortunate ratio of sex:plot. Along with books that spent more time on sex than a viable plot, humor seemed to also disappear. This book was humorous, had character building, a great plot and clean.

Cute story

I really enjoyed this story. I wasn’t sure what to expect because some of the reviews weren’t good. I thought it was very entertaining and different.

Loved every minute of it

5 stars because this is the book I needed to put a smile in my heart. The story is light, sweet and very kind. I’m glad I bought it.

Many laugh out loud moments

Read this book for the character of the little 5yo girl Rose. I thought that character was excellently written. Both the kids were well written, actually. Thoughtful character development there.
The story had elements reminding me of snippets of other stories, but in a way that didn’t feel overly tired. Yeah, you do have to get past the “really? C’mon that wouldn’t really have ever happened” moments, but worth it!
It did drag a little at times, but not for long. And a few things I would have liked to see wrapped up in the epilogue. But….

Adorable

I liked this book a lot! Very clever premise, and likable characters. We know how it will end but it’s a lot of fun getting there.

Yes! The butler did it!

Enjoyable, fresh read. I love regency romances but have often wondered how anyone could remember all the rules AND how romance could thrive. Now we know. (Or do we???)
