Still loving this series

I read quite a few reviews about the narrator being too old or not being as good as the others. I completely disagree and I’m glad I gave it a chance anyway. She was excellent, and when she needed to sound young, she did. Her accents and tone were great. Don’t let those reviews about the performance keep you from listening to this installment if you have enjoyed the others so far.

I seem to disagree with many. I love the narrator and was used to the change after the first chapter. She’s amazing. I love the story and it is as I would expect to enjoy after the previous books in this series.

As Always, a Great Rosiland Thorne Mysyery

Great story. Awful narrerator. Please get the old one from the previous books back. The voice is WAY too old for Rosiland. Almost painful to listen to

Slow start, but worth reading through

The beginning seems to drag out before the story became totally engrossing. It’s worth continuing to get to this captivating story.

More than romance

This book is not the typical romance novel. There is a mystery to be solved. Enjoyed it completely and will listen to more of her books.

A fun mystery, with the frills of days gone by.

I enjoyed the story and performance. Like the authors other book I needed to pay more attention to the story then other books.
It was a good way to pass the time.

Enjoyable Series

There is a narrator change with this book. Contrary to other reviewers, I found her tone pleasant, the characters distinguishable, and while her voice is clearly older, I didn't think it was too old - I think it added to the characters all becoming more distinguished and experienced. As to the story - I liked it but I didn't love it. To me it was just a bit to contrived. I did like how the characters progressed and somewhat resolved their relationships.

Fourth Time's the Charm

I thoroughly enjoyed this series of books. I was a little apprehensive about getting this 4th book as there were many complaints about the narrator's age and voice, and some said that the story-indeed the entire priduction- was too different. I found the narrator's voice did take a few minutes to get used to, but almost immediately I was able to distinguish between the narrator's voice and age and her characterizations--the ladies still had lovely youthful voices. Old and young ladies seemed clearly distinguished to my ear. There were many more and varied male characters in this story than in the previous books and the narrator's richer, deeper vocal abilities lent themselves perfectly to bring them to life--altbough the female characters were a little more clearly distinguishable than the male characters.

As for the story itself, I find that it was my favorite. I enjoyed seeing Rosalind outside her normal milieu. I enjoyed how the various relationships worked out--some differently than might be expected-- and I enjoyed how all the characters are moving forward with their lives. As this series keeps getting better, I eagerly await a fifth book.
