loved it all over again

Again feel in love with this book and characters all over again. Idk why audible isn't showing that I have already listened to it but I have. It didn't record my last review either. I will wait to re-listen to book three after audible have published book 4 to purchase. I typically hate "princess " nicknames but coming from his mouth💥

Great sequel

I definitely did not see the end coming for this book (book 2). I’m hooked and will be reading book 3 shortly.

The voice actors did a great job

They made me believe I was watching a movie with how good their acting of the characters were!

Great performance!

I love both of the voice actors they do such a good job and they along with the story are a great spicy adult fantasy that had me both intrigued with the storyline and loci gong the dirty talk! I just wish it was longer or the next book was out because I want to read it but also don’t want to miss out on the performance of these two in order to continue the story!

Kind of repetitive

This book felt kind of repetitive, the FMC kept repeating her behavior during the 90% of the book no matter what happened and it got tiresome at some point. The ending was kind of expected but with a curve ball. The performance was outstanding as usual.

Fantasy/ Paranormal Romance 📖 🎧

✨A Kingdom of Blood and Betrayal is the second book in the Stars and Shadows series by Holly Renee and it is everything you want in a deliciously steamy, fast paced, and swoon worthy fantasy romance. I listened to this story on audio as I read along and the narrators were absolutely wonderful! I fell in love with our two main characters even more as the narrators brought them to life.

The personal histories explored, the continued character development, and the new side characters introduced were all amazing. I loved the emotional intimacy, vulnerability, and intensity that develops between the love interests as they navigate life in the Blood Kingdom.

✨The romance in this story remains a consuming one, full of passion and possessiveness, all while transforming into something even more beautiful, more devoted, and more tender.

My heart broke a bit for both of our main characters throughout the story as their relationship struggles after the betrayals revealed at the end of book one. In our MMC’s attempts to salvage their relationship and their bond, we learn more about his past, his intentions, and future hopes and dreams for his Kingdom and his Princess.

✨I absolutely love this series and highly recommend A Kingdom of Blood and Betrayal to those who enjoy steamy romances, and fantasy/ paranormal romances.

still cringe

This one is a written a little better than the first, but still pretty cringe

FMC

The FMC is quite annoying for a while but grows throughout the story. I’m not into I love/hate him at the same time story line.

Story idea

Simplified if you want a hot and spicy book, this is good but if you want spicy book with a really good story where you’re not rolling your eyes at the main character every 10 minutes this is not that in my opinion.


Okay so I like the story idea a lot! BUT it’s definitely missing more plot and character development to make it an amazing book. The good performance is what has let me keep listening so far. If I was reading it I probably would have rolled my eyes so many times I would have a headache and need to put the book down by now.

The 🌶️🌶️🌶️ scenes are hot and well done but the lead up is a lil WTF sometimes and the main characters repetitive actions of not talking about anything or asking enough questions OUT LOUD then just having sex but acting like she “regrets” fucking her mate afterward, and running away infuriate me to no end.
The main character is seriously driving me crazy right now I have maybe an hr or so to go on this book and idk that I can make it through the rest of the series if they are all like this.
I’m more frustrated because it is a good story and I like the authors imagination. I might try a different book by her and see how it goes because this storyline feels like it was maybe rushed 🤷‍♀️.

So addicting

I am immediately starting the next book! Great story, lots of unexpected turns. Great spice.
