It is 1893, and the first generation of immigrants who came to America for the promise of free land and a good life for their children have finally achieved their dreams. the readers effort at accents was terrible and the reading as if reading tochildren. I won't choose another with this reader.

loved the story, just the narrator was bad! psalms 91.....he said Palms! and pronounced all the names differently than the narrator of the previous books. it was hard to listen too.

Once again, Lauraine Snelling did an awesome job writing a story that was hard to put down. However, the narration left a lot to be desired. At times, the narration made it hard to listen to.

the narrator was cringey to the max. the Norwegian accent was awful and sounded like oaken from frozen. Honestly though the female southerners may have been the worst. absolutely tragic. I couldn't even focus on the story because the narration was so distracting.

I have really enjoyed this series up to this book. It’s not the book, but the narration. I have never sped through a book faster. I turned up the speed to get it done quickly. There are important facts of the story that are only in this book. He makes everyone sound like nasal country bumpkins and it drove me to distraction. You may just want to check this book out of the library…
