An incredible story that takes you through WWII following three families. It follows their heartbreaks, soul searching, and triumphs. Wonderfully written and narrated. I really enjoyed this book and I'll read it again in the future.

This is a fantastic book. So well written, and so important to tell the story of these people, their lives, their suffering, and triumph in faith. Everyone should read it. May we never forget what occurred to the Dutch and the Jews as well as all those who suffered in the world war.

The reader for this audible book was good, very well with pronunciation of cities in Germany and German names.

Inspirational, complex characters, authentic historical story line and great narrator

I’m relatively new to Lynn Austin and I’m so glad I discovered jet wonderful stories. I personally love the way she weaves sincere faith into the storyline without being preachy. It all seems seamless and natural but then I’m a person of Faith. I appreciate a great story with complex characters and evolving story line. Great use of a credit!
