A big unanswered question.

I get the mixed reviews, but it is a cute story. There isn’t any cheating in the book, but it is discussed that the king only has heirs with other Elves, to keep the bloodline pure. I want to know if he’s still going to hold to that or not. That changes everything.

intricate world with a wonderful love story

I personally love books with the tension of longing. everything that passes between them when you want to shout just be together! The obstacles they face leaving you wondering if they will or won't. knowing they must likely will but loving how they got there. this story has such life and love. It makes me really happy to find a love story without a love triangle. Just pure circumstance and people getting in their own way.

the narration was fenominal as well!

If your wondering if it's worth the credit it absolutely is. I'm going to go find more books from this author and dig in.

Bland novel with not enough fantasy or romance

The book is fine, but it either needed more plot and world building or more smut or better smut. It’s not a good fantasy novel or a good romance but it’s not exactly bad either. Tries to hit tropes like “one bed” needlessly. This is not enemies to lovers. Also a needless 3rd act break up type event. Supposedly a YA novel but still needed to be more compelling with its characters to justify the watering down of the world and romance. You just don’t feel the connection between the love interests.
IMO the hype is probably paid for influencers that don’t disclose they are being paid.

Fantasy

I enjoyed this story, I thought it was a decent book, And enjoyed how the story ended.

A nice Hades & Persephone storytelling

This is my first time reading Elise Kova’s work and I enjoyed this fantasy version of Hades & Persephone. I was a little annoyed with Luella constantly telling and retelling everyone why she had to go back to her village in almost every chapter, but all in all, I really did enjoy this book and couldn’t put it down. I would very much like more books about this storyline with Luella and Eldas if there are not already more out there.

Good for a filler book

Read this to skip time between waiting for new releases. It's sweet, definitely a story about Hades and Persephone. It's good after you finish ACOTAR. The story is entertaining and romance is sweet, the ending was lacking though.

I just Wish it had more explicit spicy content though. Otherwise, it was enjoyable and cute. A good quick read.

Elizabeth Evans is an incredible narrator. Now the more serious stuff…

I enjoyed the relationship between the male and female lead, but that’s all that is carrying this book. I didn’t love the female lead, there was this issue with her character where she wasn’t strong but she wasn’t weak. It didn’t make sense. The magic system and plot doesn’t really work. There are many great lines. The author can write well, their plotting is the overarching issue.

Very good story with a slow burn

I really enjoyed this book and the slow burning romance. I finished it way too fast and wish there was more to the story, but I do look forward to discovering more from this author.
