I loved the narrator, and the book had an engaging story line with an explosive ending. Well developed characters that I loved 😍

Fantastic story

This upper YA fantasy is full of deadly trials, complex characters, and dragons. What a ride this was! Elise Kova had me on the edge of my seat throughout this book because the stakes felt so high. I didn’t know who to trust, and it was so fun theorizing about what was going to happen next. Dragon Cursed combined so many elements that I love from fantasy books, but yet it felt fresh and completely its own thing. The characters showed their youth at times, but they had depth to them. I enjoyed peeling back their layers and learning more about them. The magic system was interesting, and I love that we are still learning about what is going on with the dragons and the etherlight. It did take me a little while to get invested, but as the story progressed, I felt like I was on a train speeding towards the end. I completely understand all the hype this one is getting.

This audible is definitely one of my favorites!! This story completely captivated me & the amazing narration, made is 10x’s better!
I highly recommend listening to this immediately!

Incredible Story

Dragon Cursed by Elise Kova — holy wow. I could not put this book down.
We follow Isola, a girl who might be cursed… or might be the one meant to save the city, when she’s forced into a brutal tribunal where magic is dangerous and it’s every person for themselves. There’s action, tension, and just enough romance to keep things extra painful (in the best way).
The writing is easy to follow and really pulls you in without dumping too much world-building at once. Everything just flows, and I was fully invested the entire time.
It’s honestly no surprise this already has a movie deal. I cannot wait to see this story come to life on the big screen. If you like fantasy with high stakes, magic, and a little emotional damage, this one is worth picking up.

I FREAKING LOVED THIS!!

I love dragons, but there are only a few dragon stories that I really love. WELL NOW THERE’S THIS ONE!!!!

This about a competition (hunger games or whatever) which is about becoming those who protect the city and kill dragons, and other similar kinds of jobs. The competition is to make sure none of the people are cursed to become a dragon. If you make it through you’re officially a citizen and are selected for some of the jobs, which most want to be protectors. Then twist it over and over again until you feel like you’re coming to an end and then it twists and twists some more. What a freaking ride!!

The horrible things they are put through are not humane! It’s sickening. The main character is an 18 year old girl who was captured by a dragon when she was a child and who somehow (she doesn’t remember) killed the dragon. Her eyes turned gold after. Now people feel she has special powers. But she is scared and doesn’t understand what is going on with herself, and she is put through so many horrors in the competition. She has her best friend by her side throughout it, and a boy, who was orphaned and raised by the Vicar, ends up joining them and helping them. There is a bit of romance, but nothing more than feelings and a kiss or two. So no steam. It’s appropriate for Young Adult.

This was SO AWESOME!! I loved this so much!! THAT ENDING!!! I need book two NOW!! I definitely recommend this book and recommend that you be prepared for a WILD RIDE!!!
