I think this collection of stories is better than the last two, and I already enjoyed those! The performance is top notch as always and I can't wait for the next collection of these guilty pleasures.

great, amazing, fantastic as usual, a natural 20.
a joy to start, and desperate for more when it was over.

Bevan hates horse, and possibly large birds.

Another hilarious installment of mini-adventures of our gang of miscreants. By this stage you know what you’re in for and this offering doesn’t disappoint! Missing is the extended cast of the Critical Failures books, these focus purely on the core or Cooper the Half-Orc (best character ever), Dave the can’t-catch-a-break Dwarf, Julian the ever optimistic Elf and the self-appointed “Leader” of the group, Tim the alcoholic halfling. As ever Jonathan Sleep’s fantastic and ridiculous narration brings it all to ribald life. Can’t wait for the next Critical Failures book? Enjoy this as a satisfying snack!

Slower stories than usual

This book does exactly what you expect, delivering entertainingly low brow humor that somehow pulls you into the story. I found this collection a bit slower than most stories and not as much depth in storytelling. It’s not bad, just not as fast paced. I do find myself wanting the characters to finally grow in stats. I’d like to see what Cooper would be like with a few more points i intelligence and charisma. I know his filthy mess has driven a lot jokes, but I can’t help but feel a great writer can evolve his characters and still retain that magic.
