I have dealt with ADHD all my life. I have not been officially diagnosed, but I have no doubt, this is what I have been dealing with all my life.
I have never had any specific meds for this, of course since I have not been assessed for this.
I am 70 years old, and still struggle with a lot of issues. All the suggestions you have given are going to be very helpful. Thank you, for taking your time and energy to write this book.
I appreciate that you have ADHD yourself. It is much easier for me to take advice and suggestions from someone that knows what I deal with each and every day.
I really look forward to your next book with more of the same. Having many lists of helpful hints, suggestions, hacks I am sure are many of us.
I wish there was information out there about different supplements available to help us as well. Maybe you can provide that in your next book.
Right now I am taking Avantera. When I first started taking it, it did make me fear more clear headed.
I asked my doctor if I could take anything that would help my ADHD. He advised me not to, and that it would kill me. So I respect his judgment on that.
I have problems with Anxiety, depression, also been diagnosed with diabetes. Which I work with carefully. I do not want to take insulin. The doctor tried me on a med, but made me sick each time. It was actually a good thing. They were able to find out I have Gastroparesis. Not good, because diabetes and that work against each other. But I am determined to keep my sugar low, and continue to work with my diet.
These suggestions in your book should help each of these problems.
I feel like I should buy the book as well, I first got it on audible.
I might suggest you have an area in your next book with pages that we could write down our successes, and things we need to work on more.
Thank you,
Debbie
Please let me know any other books you feel will be helpful to me. Or anything else you have written.
I am an artist, and have always wanted to write my own children’s book. I would do the illustrations myself. I have already illustrated a children’s book. So please keep me in mind for any future books that need pictures of any kind. Would love to be a part in helping others like us.
Even reading your book has inspired me to do the other things I have a passion for.i have been trying to paint the walls of my new art rooms, since I moved to another state. Had to start from scratch. It is taking me forever to get my room done, I have such a hard time staying focused. Been working on this room for two years. I have new commissions to do for people etc. I want to get back to my art painting asap. This ADHD keeps me from my passion!!! This is so frustrating to me!!!
Any more suggestions from you, be happy to hear about them.
