The way I got sucked in to the writing style and the portrayal of confusing love with obsession, was brutal and beautiful. The portrayal of psychopathy is something that I don't think I've read within this genre. I loved every minute of this book

What the did I just read. Only Leigh Rivers would get me to cry for a psychopath. This is definitely not a romance story. The way Leigh writes these characters was absolutely outstanding. It was interesting to see Tobias as a person dealing with mental issues and seeing his down whirl spiral. I felt for Aria. I was right there with her, having feelings for Tobias and understanding why she still had these feelings for him. And god that epilogue!! What a great ending to this heartbreaking story.
The audiobook was unbelievable. JF Harding was incredible as Tobias and Shane East stole my heart as Ewan. And Roxelana Waters was fantastic as Aria. Truly an outstanding audiobook.

This is my first review because I’m rarely this overwhelmed. Now that I’ve stopped sobbing, I can say that this story is seriously steamy, romantic, heart wrenching (like, truly, lots of tissue!), and terrifyingly raw. When I say raw, it may be too much for some. Read the triggers because I felt it all.

The duet narration is perfection and each voice actor was spot on. I stumbled on this and I’m so glad that I did, even if it did gut me. :)

I cried I cried I don’t know what I was crying for or who but I definitely was feeling some sort of way . So good now I’m off too reading Insatiable now it makes sense now I got to hear this one .

This book epically depicts how the mind of a psycho works. It’s a true love story. The author perfectly converts the thought process of both main characters. A truly intense psychotic love affair but in the best way.

I listened to this before reading the final book in the EOD series. It explains so much but leaves you heart broken that Tobias doesn’t get his HEA. He still gets the girl I suppose, just not the way he wanted.

Am I wrong to love Tobias even more after experiencing his story of obsession. I do and I’m not ashamed to say so! He can’t help his mental illness. Does it excuse what he did….no, because it was psychotic! But, in his mind and soul, he was doing it all to protect the love of his life. What wouldn’t you do for love. I’m so glad we got to see the real Tobias, not just the darkness. Because he is both. Aria loves both and now I do too ♥️ This entire series has been 5 ⭐️and Psychotic Obsession has earned it as well! This series has now raised the bar for Dark romances forever!

There’s something about the way Leigh wrote this world and these characters that just hits differently, then The Edge Of Darkness Trilogy. When I saw there is Tobias and Aria’s story, I was equally thrilled and terrified, especially when we know what happened later, but we didn’t know what really happened between these two characters. Somehow, she exceeded my expectations by a longshot. This story was equal parts spicy and hot as it was emotionally draining and heartbreaking.

Writing a complex character like Tobias is not an easy task. Capturing his mental illness accurately while still making readers love him is incredibly difficult, yet it was done perfectly! Despite all of the terrible things Tobias has done, you can’t help but feel immense pain and sadness for him. You love him, despite everything. We’re used to seeing Tobias as everyone’s rock, the go-to person, and the problem solver. He’s so controlled. So, to go back and see him spiral was devastating and heartbreaking. There are so many layers to this man, and each one added depth to the story.

Witnessing what Aria actually went through was hard. We all know that Tobias is the one who’s "psychotically obsessed," but Aria is obsessed with him in her own way. And the horrible things he did to her… I was always curious about the dynamic between Tobias, Aria and Ewan. After reading this, everything makes so much more sense. I never fully understood how Ewan could be okay with this love triangle, but after reading it, I have so much respect for him. And I hope that Tobias is going to get his own HEA. Maybe in another book?



Audiobook

Roxelana Waters, JF Harding and Shane East did a fantastic job bringing each character to life, giving them voices that perfectly matched their personalities. They speak clearly, use just the right tone for every scene, and keep the story moving at a lively pace, which perfectly matches the story’s varying moods, brings depth and authenticity to every scene. Their performance kept me completely engaged from start to finish, and I genuinely enjoyed every minute of it.

i don’t think anyone could have done this story more justice. this audiobook was amazing and i felt all the emotions. JF Harding was the most perfect tobias! he truly brought him to life in the best way and did a wonderful job portraying him and his psychotic nature and toxic relationship. if you have not read this book please read/listen to the edge of darkness trilogy.
