I enjoyed this story and the characters in it. I liked the character development throughout the book. The two main characters have an interesting relationship, given their past. I look forward to more books from this author.

Quite the story! Very fascinating! I did struggle a hit at the beginning but once I caught on it all went nicely. I loved all the different types of fantasy characters in here. The narration is done by Lilly Drake and DB West. I did like but also did not like DB West performance. At first I loved the voice he was using for the MC (male) but as time went buy at times he was so low that it made understanding difficult. Lilly Drake was wonderful except when she was the Councilman or really any man persona. She used the same voice so at times I was unsure who was speaking and if they were male or female.

This was a fun enemies to lovers paranormal romance story. The narration was good as well. The story kept me sucked in all the way through as I had to find out what happened to this couple and how they would make it work.

This was my first book by Taylor, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Although, at the beginning I struggled because of the point of view the story was written from, but once I caught onto it and the story, I absolutely enjoyed it. Can’t wait to read more from her now! :)

I was expecting a little more smut tbh. I enjoyed this but the lead female of the series set before this one comes up often and for someone who hadn’t read that series I found it a little confusing as she isn’t really explained why she’s so important or bad arse. The narration is done well and I did enjoy the voice actors in this.

I really enjoyed this with all the fantasy characters in it. I especially enjoyed the relationship between Kyra and Xander and the way it developed. Things were a bit complicated, but you couldn't help and root for them. Loved the dual POV in the book.

I can't wait for the next book in the series. I listened to this on audio and really enjoyed the way the narrators portrayed the characters.

Kiss of Darkness by Taylor Aston White is a dark paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Lilly Drake and DB West. This is the first book in the Curse of the Guardians series.

This is the first book of Taylor's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Kyra and Xander. It was messy but you couldn't help but root for them. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Touch of Blood to be released on audio so I can get Kace and Eva's story.

Lilly and DB did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for a paranormal romance, fated mate's romance, enemies-to-lovers romance, or a bodyguard romance.

An intriguing paranormal world, it didn't take long for me to be drawn in, wondering how everything would pan out. Zander and Kyra have a rocky start as Zander's hostility tends to coat the air with tension...but something else lies beneath the surface. When the danger stalking Kyra forces her to ask for help, the simmering attraction boils over ... but there are enemies to stop before they can relax into their growing love. Action, danger, and suspense are not lacking in this story. Narrators brought it to life. I will say I had to slow the speed down from my normal listening rate due to the accents just because I wasn't used to them.

I’m not the biggest audio book girl. But I loved the books and needed to have a voice to the words! I loved the story! (Enemies to lovers is my favorite trope) but I also love Taylor’s writing. I feel like both narrators did a wonderful job portraying the different characters. I LOVED the way they added more depth for the beast voice! Overall great! Cannot wait for the next one!!
