A Dark MM Romance:

BLURB:

LEV

I don't do relationships. I don't do feelings. I don't do what's considered the norm.

I love hurting people. I love their screams. I love their begging. I live for it. Until him. Aaron. He has his own version of crazy. His crazy mixed with mine? That's a recipe for disaster.

AARON

My life is not my own. My stepbrother won't let me go. I have to end him.

I'm not normal. I fantasize about things I shouldn't and it's his fault. Lev. Lev has been my obsession since we started working for the Kozlov brothers. I need him. I want to be owned by him. I want to drown in his crazy until we are one.

The main thing that a reader needs to know before delving into this book is that this ‘family’ will never conform to what society considers normal.

The characters are broken, damaged, and dysfunctional which is why I like them. Atypical and sometimes downright hilarious and at other times beautifully broken, heartbreakingly violent.

Aaron is a broken man from years of trauma and abuse from his stepfather and older stepbrother. He copes with the multiple voices in his head which seemingly have multiple personalities. He’s one of the best characters of this series.

Lev is brutal. He is the enforcer who doesn’t think twice about murdering or torturing those who cross him or his brother. He doesn’t do repeats, relationships, pet names, and cannot say the words, ‘I love you.’

This is perhaps the most toxic relationship ever, yet it works beautifully in all of the ways that matter. Two halves of one dysfunctional whole.

The audiobook is good, as far as Aaron is concerned. The narrator for Lev completely ignores the fact that Lev and his brother Dima are Russian and never speaks in anything but an American accent.

It’s dark, brutal, visceral, and poignantly beautiful and emotional.

This would make a great true crime drama. Due to graphic sexual encounters, language, and violence consistent with organised crime, this series is not recommended for any under age 18.

I’m your plus one crazy addition!

Once again love Avery Wilde’s performance. He really got to show some darker and manic style here! James Davey also was such a sexy voice for Lev! Loved loved LOVED this one!

DARK. STEAMY. FUN.

this is pretty good! does everything so much better than the first but I did enjoy the first audiobook because it had me constantly laughing. this one still has some humor but is waaaaay darker! lots of triggers! I tried finding a list of triggers but couldn't find a good source before starting.
CW: Abuse, Child Abuse, SA, Blackmail, Manipulation, Torture, Violence, Domestic Violence and much more!
My biggest gripe has to be the torture scenes. The characters hype them up and talk about how they want to savor it and make it last forever... but at most they do two types of torture and then go for the kill. I'm not saying the story should portray everything, but stop making it seem like they're so into it when they barely do anything! at least allude to them doing more so it doesn't feel like nothing actually happens.

much more grounded story than Tied to You
