Narrated in dual by Scarlett Dorian and Bryant Walker, their performances perfectly capture the emotional complexities and sizzling chemistry of these two compelling characters.

Despite the hidden nature of their relationship from their family, Penny and Lincoln's story is filled with passion, steamy moments, humor (thanks to the Carlson twins and witty coworkers), and a deep emotional connection that will leave you rooting for them.

First and foremost, it's a lighthearted love story. Yes, they are adopted cousins, and that might be disturbing to some, but honestly, I didn't care. The way Penny was struggling felt genuine, and her healing and self-discovery journey is the main focus. Lincoln is simply the most loving and completely smitten guy.

This taboo romance was a wild ride. The phrase kissing cousins comes to mind. Not only is the relationship between Lincoln and Penny taboo (they are cousins, although Penny is adopted), but the kinks they enjoy are taboo as well! When several anonymous nights of passion lead to finding out you slept with your cousin, I think anyone's life would be thrown off its axis. The rollercoaster these two go through before ending up with their happy ever after sometimes felt like whiplash, but the ride was worth it.
The audiobook was performed in dual narration by Scarlett Dorian and Bryant Walker. While I generally liked the narration, I felt like there were several moments in the book where Scarlett did a little too much with her voice and it took me out of the scene. The moans were especially rough for me in this one. Definitely check your trigger warnings before reading.
