I honestly don’t know how I feel about this. My feelings are so mixed up. I overall think it was a good story but it’s not my cup of tea didn’t enjoy it.

This book is such a dark, emotional audible. It tore my heart out so many times. I felt bad for liking Liv even though she did not choose to do any of this. I felt terrible for everything that that she went through. Then later finding out what she did. I definitely did not see that happening. She is such a strong amazing character. I loved Josh from the beginning. He was not willing to back down or give in. He put up with a lot in his capitivty and came out stronger foebit. I love how he was able to trust and see through Liv. The ending was perfect. This is the first book of Pam Godwin's that I have read or listened to but will definitely listen to more.

Teddy Hamilton did amazing narrating Josh. He brought out his strength and personality. Abby Craden also did an amazing job with Liv's voice and all the others. I would love to listen to these narrators again!

The darkest book I've ever read. Trigger warnings EVERYWHERE so be warned. Scary, scary narrative. The flawless narration only intensified all the graphic and disturbing twists and turns.

This book had me from start to finish. It was dark, beautiful perfection. I absolutely love Josh!! Liv was such a beautiful soul dressed and forced into a life she never deserved.

Liv falls for her captive, Josh fall for his capture . They are both prisoners to a sex trafficker. The things tying them to the trafficker are personal, real. Just how can Josh save her from him and keep everyone safe? Great twisting story you’ll not anticipate. Budding love is fast and sadistic. But the virgin readily complies , against all he’s been brought up to know... my fist of this author, and I love it... much like Pepper Winter’s stories... Abby and Ted are fabulous.. the sinister in Abby’s voice is gut wrenching and pulled me right in!

Wicked hot. The narrator says Teddy Hamilton, for the male, but it’s Jason Clarke, my other favorite narrator male. IAbby Craden did a great job as the female. Both narrators did a great job with this book. It’s definitely not intended for young ears. It’s still a great written book. It’s actually scary erotica.

This story is absolutely gut wrenching and beautiful all the the same time. The narrators absolutely NAILED how I’d imagine the character to be like. I didn’t know this was 3rd person POV going into this and I thought that was going to deter me, but it didn’t! Loved this book!

How to write a review on this book. 🤔

There are VERY dark themes in this one. Definitely definitely read the TWs. (I would equate it to the first part of 𝘏𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦, so please tread carefully.)

This is a book that will take you on a journey that is oftentimes discomforting, but the tenderness that develops between the two MCs is beautifully built along the way. My heart just broke for them for what they went through together.

Thank goodness for that ending and yay for no cliffhanger, because I’m not sure I would have made it! 🤪

Pretty good book if you are looking for a dark romance. It’s part of a series but can be read by itself. I would have liked more info of their HEA but I know that the couple show up in other books in the series.
