This series just continues to get better! Each book has been so different but keeps you seated in a mafia world that is easy to follow. While you can enjoy this one as a stand-alone, I would highly recommend starting with book one.

Katie thought she had her life together, but it keeps getting worse, with only her stalker keeping her grounded (and satisfied). Mac wants her and just feels rejected.

I consumed this one via audio, and it is hot as hell! Mac's deep tone just sinks in and takes you with it as only James Joseph can do. Melissa Maybeck as Katie is a perfect pairing. Their performances created quite a few bookmarks.

🎧 the narrators performed their characters exquisitely in this duet narration. the way 𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘬 voiced katie in chap 33 was something powerful♥️ & 𝘫𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘫𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘱𝘩 as mac... 𝙎𝙄𝙍𝙍𝙍🧎🏽‍♀️ the walking red flag id gladly let lure me in!!

Spicy, suspenseful, with masked stalker. Need I say more? MFC is in a terrible abusive relationship. Her stalker wants to show her that she deserves better, even if he has to get close to her and prove it himself. The smut with this one is on point, totally depraved, and contains equal praise and degradation play. Great listen and lots of spice! 🔥🔥
Both narrators were excellent. I love James Joseph’s accent

This book was everything I wanted and more! I have loved every book in this series, but Dark Obsessions might just be my favorite yet. The tension? Off the charts. The chemistry? Scorching. We’re talking 5+🌶️ levels of heat—the kind that makes you fan yourself and pause the audiobook just to breathe.

Effie Campbell absolutely nails the he-falls-first and touch-her-and-💀 energy. The possessive, protective, stalker-vibes MMC had me hooked from the first moment he appeared in the shadows. And the FMC? Strong, vulnerable, and so easy to root for. Their push-and-pull dynamic was pure dark-romance perfection.

Melissa Maybeck and James Joseph once again deliver phenomenal performances. Their chemistry and emotional delivery brought this twisted, dangerous world to life—every whisper, every growl, every gasp felt real.

Okay listen… They said stalker romance and my brain short-circuited. I was instantly feral. Take my money, take my morals, take my soul. This book is dark, filthy, and toe-curling in the best way. The MMC had me questioning my life choices while the FMC was out here living the dream (and by dream, I mean letting her stalker do unspeakably hot things that had me clutching my headphones).

The degradation and praise kink combo? I wasn’t ready. I’ve read spicy before, but this? This was “oh no, why am I into this” levels of chaos. I fully understand Katie’s decisions. Couldn’t be me—except it totally could.

Now, fair warning—the side storyline is heavy and had me blinking like, “Wait… did that just happen?” There are some seriously messed-up moments that threw me for a loop, so check those trigger warnings before diving in.

The narration was perfection. James Joseph’s dark tone had me melting and Melissa Maybeck’s sass was pure chef’s kiss. Together they made the tension practically vibrate through my speakers.

If you like your mafia romances with stalker vibes, unhinged heat, and morally black chaos—welcome to your next obsession.
