The mind it must take y be able to come up with something like this. I enjoyed the first book but this one blew me away. You have got to read, better yet, listen to this. Bravo and double chefs kisses.

Possible Spoilers: This book was really great. I have to admit that I was disappointed to learn what an ahole Kenzo is. He seemed so nice in book 1. However, as the book progressed, I saw a little bit of a softer, kinder side to him. Trix is smart! She planned a revenge scheme that I did not see coming and I cheered her on as it played out. HEA is always a great way to finish a story, but I wasn't sure this would be one of them. Narrators were awesome as always.

I had the chance to listen to the audiobook!
Desiree Ketchum, Andi Eloise, Corvin King, Bryant Walker and James Cassidy did such a great job at narration! The emotion and development they put into their characters was great! This is book two in the death in bloom series. Between the romance and suspense I was hooked! All the crazy plot twists and turns had me on a roller coaster of emotions!! Definitely check your trigger warnings before reading! It was overall I great read and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next!

I was super lucky to get the ALC for Compel by Candice Wright from Blue Nose Audio. Performed in multicast by Desireé Ketchum (Trix), Andi Eloise (Ivy), Corvin King (Atlas), Bryant Walker (Kenzo) and James Cassidy, I cannot speak highly enough for their performance.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the story, there were plenty of twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat and super shocked when it went a different direction than I initially thought. Kenzo is probably crazier than Atlas and I enjoyed being in his dark, depraved and twisted mind. Kenzo is red flags galore. And Trix was honestly just such a well written character and her strength is admirable, especially given all the tragic events she experienced in her past. Trix is strong willed when she needs to be.
And let me tell you that the narrators all did an absolutely fantastic job!! Desireé Ketchum was absolutely perfect as Trix and Bryant Walker portrayed the unhinged and intensity of Kenzo and they both just amplified the tension of their characters. It was also an absolute treat to hear Andi Eloise, Corvin King and James Cassidy - they all did a superb job with their respective characters and having a multicast narration keeps the experience really immersive.

When I read this one , it was darker than I expected. That ending had my jaw dropped to the floor, which I don’t know why this surprises me so much as Wright is known to leave you gasping in more ways than one. It’s like a car crash, magnificent, slightly horrifying at times, yet still every word compels you to keep going, rubber necking it the further you get from page 1.

Now that I’ve just listened to this on audio takes it to a whole other level of depravity and sin! I never realized how much the name Atlas was written in this book until hearing the one narrator say it in a way that drives me crazy because it sounds wrong. I still cannot get over this ending and am still waiting for more!

So much more!!!
