I didn’t think I’d fall this hard for Nic and Lo, but Caught Up pulled me in fast and didn’t let go. The story follows Lauren, a cam girl who’s built her life on her own terms, and Nico, the mobster who never really let her go even after betraying her years ago. What starts as an unwelcome reunion slowly unravels into something darker, deeper, and unexpectedly tender. The performances by Kasi Hollowell, Jason June, and Teddy Hamilton were SO steamy, making it impossible to stop listening. Lights Out was my very first Nessa Allen read and I absolutely loved it. So when Caught Up was announced, I was super stoked. I waited for it with so much anticipation… and I was not disappointed.

I’d seen a lot of reviews from people feeling let down because they were expecting a direct Ali and Josh sequel. Personally, I think Ali and Josh already had their story , it wrapped up and made space for new characters in this book. Caught Up focuses on Aly’s cousin Nico and his love interest, Lauren. I’ll leave it at that so it’s not spoiled.

If you go into this expecting a copy-and-paste of Josh and Aly’s relationship, you might be disappointed. While it has a similar vibe to Lights Out, it’s also very different — and I’m totally okay with that. I enjoyed the fresh elements, the new dynamics, and the nostalgia of seeing Aly and Josh make appearances.

The narrators absolutely killed it and made the experience even better. Nessa has a hit on her hands, and I wish more people would give it a chance for what it is, not dismiss it just because it’s not Lights Out.

I loved all the characters but Lauren. I don’t find anything about her to like. Jr and all others made me finish the book. He is everything!!

I really like this one, not more than Allie and Josh, but still likes the story line. Junior is everything! And voiced by Teddy Hamilton?! Even better! I love how he basically spent a decade protecting Lauren behind the scenes. Love the sneak peak in the epilogue, can’t wait for Game On.

Enjoyed lights out, and have to say the sequel didn’t dissapoint. The comedy was bit on the low, but the spice. Pfffiew!

Nico Trocci is this dark romance girlys dream. He's a bad boy trying to go good, loyal, hot and inlove. Lauren is confident, kind and takes no crap. Great story and I LOVED that we got to see so much of Ali and Jish who are my FAVORITE. While this book wasn't the banger Lights Out was, it still kept me interested throughout, I could have gotten more of them, plot was good spice was real good and I'll definitely be reading Game On coming out in March!

First off the female lead irritated me to no end. Junior deserved so much better. She always thought the worst and never believed in him. But anyways I loved Junior 😍 and Teddy did him justice. I wish Junior had a different woman to love him but hey it is what it is.
