About this listen

Will Ludlam is tired of hiding. He doesn’t regret turning his back on his father’s cruel Tribunal legacy, but he never intended to live like this, secreted away with the vampires of Penton in their underground fortress, Omega. Charged with caring for bonded humans fleeing the vampire war, Will longs to join the fight. But first he must earn the trust of the beautiful soldier tasked with keeping Omega safe....

Randa Thomas is one of Penton’s newest lieutenants, a former US Army officer now devoted to the vampire rebellion. She has little patience for Will Ludlam, and can’t understand why the privileged son of one of the vampire elite has the trust of her scathe’s leaders. But as the Tribunal closes in and Omega prepares to make one last stand, Will’s polished charm - and Randa’s guarded heart - finally give way to the warrior within.

Please oh please don't end like this

I have read the other three books in this series and waited on pins and needles for the third book. I was expected a huge showdown between Will and his father. I felt quite disappointed when this didn’t happen. After book 2, I thought the reclaiming of Peyton would be a brilliant battle but it was more talking than action. The romance scene weren’t at steamy as they were in book 1 & 2.

I wasn’t happy how the relationship between Will and Randa developed. More information about Will’s background was revealed, and that was heartbreaking for me to hear but I felt the reader was left with an open mouth expression gasping for more. Please oh please tell me it doesn’t end like this.

Great Vampire Series

Great
loved it, was a Good new vampire series.
I wasn't sure if I was going to like the book enough to try but after a while I was enjoying the audible book and by the end of the book one here I was interested in Aden the main alpha Vampire and the lovely New Doctor he falls for named Chris. By the end I had to keep reading the next titles in tge series. I have been very happy after continuing to read the rest of the titles after and each perfectly follows the next regardless of what you may read of the description which can leave you wondering if it will be as good or better which it does get better and does keep the characters from each title in the next plus new ones and news surprises and characters that ypu never expected to be written plus different types of romantic relationships with the other characters and leaves you wanting more. The narrator was good no issues actually liked the narrator more and more by the last book after seeing how brilliant this woman can change her voice to sound like a man in so very different ways:)!! I have a hard time finding great Vampire Series of audible or kindle narration added reads. I also recommend if you have not already done so to read for sure Every single kindle with added narration or aubilble version of the books called " The Shade " by the author Bella Forrest, That is an excellent good 15 -16 audible titles in a series tgat you will definitely enjoy and so far the author has so many characters that I love how she always uses many people

Great read!!

Though I like the previous ones better than this one, i still enjoyed it. Or maybe because i have been building this up in my head for so long in anticipation that it didn't meet my expectation. But here go my review:

What i love about this book:

1.) Action Packed
2.) Character's developments.
3.) Good Plots
4.) Good Dialogues
5.) Smooth transition from the previous book to this one.

What i don't like about this book:

1.) The chemistry between the hero and the heroine has a bit of a too much too fast scenario going on. I would love it if Susannah Sandlin dragged it out a bit... give them both some emotional challenges. I know they were destined to be together but give them some obstacles, don't just throw them together u know... make it into a meal. Not just a drive through.. if u know what i mean?

2.) Both new and old characters seem to b too perfect? They seem to blend in together into a single voice at some point. I mean everyone were too devoted to one another. Too driven, too selfless that it's no longer believable?

3.) This story is read from too many different people's perspectives that at some point i don't feel like William and Rhonda are the center anymore.

But i still gave an overall 5 star review. I like the book and i enjoyed. Not as much as the previous ones, but i liked it. Recommended!

Victoria Palmer's Review

Omega is the 3rd in the Penton series and takes the series even further with Will and Sandra's story. The subject matter can be heavy, and there is adult content, so be warned. It's also not a rainbows and kittens vampire story, but if you're looking for one that is not the same old, same old, look no further than the Penton Series. The audio narration suits the story and does at least a fair job bringing the story to life. 4 stars for content.

Great ending.. But I want more..

Any additional comments?

Oh, my.. Such a great 3rd book. I only hope it's not the end of the series. I loved Will and Randa. Loved Cage and hope he gets a story. Was so glad when Shelton got his due and was sorry when Matthias was only arrested.
I read all three books in three days and I'm hoping for more.

Again the narration left a lot to be desired. Ms. McFadden sucks at doing the men's voices. This was Will's story and throughout the entire book he sounded like a girl. She did a great job with all the girls' voices but none of the men sounded like men. Such a shame.

I'm still loving those Bama vampires!!

Would you listen to Omega again? Why?

Yes,this is an exciting new vampire series that I certainly will revisit. This book has introduced a new aspect to the story that is exciting. So I think this is going to make the Top 10 of my favorite vampire series.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Oh I love them ALL. That is what makes it all so good and the plus of meeting even more in this book.

Any additional comments?

This is worth a credit and I can't wait for the next book in the seires. It just keeps getting better.

Great action with some romance.

Would you consider the audio edition of Omega to be better than the print version?

I can't say... I didn't read the book myself. I have found, though, some books don't work as well for me when I listen to them. The Penton Legacy books have so far worked for me on audiobook.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Omega?

When Randa and Will are trapped and he finally figures out what Aiden told her about him. Its also at this time they start to really come to terms with each other.

Which character – as performed by Amy McFadden – was your favorite?

She does all the characters well... I was nervous when they changed narrators after the first book but Amy does just as well, if not better. Mirren is always a character I like to hear voiced (and she does his voice well) I also like the way Amy plays Mirren's mate, Glory.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I don't think there were any moments that "moved" me, but I did feel worried when the grenade was dropped into the tunnel.

Any additional comments?

I have yet to read the 4th book but I'm definitely going to. I love the series for its simplicity. For me it is a good series of books to listen to at night before I go to bed. I like the characters and their personalities. I want Penton to succeed and its people to be safe.
